Hello, thank you for your question. For the GFO HC, there is approximately 15 grams per Tablespoon by volume, so 1 tablespoon would treat 7.5-15 gallons.

If you figure cost per pound BRS is still cheaper.

Hello, thank you for your question. This product has fine granules similar to carbon, but finer. It can be mixed in reactor with carbon or used by itself.

Q: I want to know if these work for reef tanks and if they are more fine dusty or larger sized pellets?

I use these for my 125 gallon reef tank. They work great. They do need to be rinsed before you use them. They are a little dusty. But I've had worse.
