bObsweepPetHair Robotic Vacuum Cleaner and Mop, Rouge by bObsweep

Sadly, I had a horrible experience. I bought a Bob rouge for my wife for christmas. I liked the idea, but in our house it got stuck and died about 4 times per week. We have concrete floors and some area rugs so I thought our house would be easy. But the Bob got stuck driving up onto the Persian rugs, or crossing the threshold between the concrete floors and our wood floors in the dinning room. It also got stuck under the cabinets in the kitchen and utility room. Sometimes it would just shut off, but usually it would run down and die so I didn't even know how long it ran. I should have returned it the first week.Worse, a piece of plastic that holds the beater bar in place broke. I tried to glue it, but it broke again. I got a return authorization since that was a choice through Amazon, but I really just expected that they would offer to fix it. I sent it in, and 4-6 weeks later they emailed that it was past the return period. So to summarize, it didn't really work, then it broke, then I sent it in for a return or repair, and I never got it back and never got a refund. So my experience is that the technology must not be ready yet. If it can't work in our simple house I don't know where it would work better.

I was pleasantly surprised on how well this thing works. He is to say the least, thorough and thoughtful. Was really happy that he cleaned under beds perfectly. There is something magical about starting him in a bedroom, closing the door and coming back in a hour finding “Bob” docked charging himself and having a dustbin so full your jaw drops.Yes, there are concessions for some area rugs but those were problematic with our upright vacuum also. In someways “Bob” is even better with them. The other surprise was how quiet the device is. The UV light is a bonus and the wet pad as well. While it won’t replace a Swiffer for hard dried items and tight corners it does a reasonable job for what it is.I’d say it exceeded expectations. With the various cleaning options we’ve really saved a ton of time. Especially appreciated getting under beds. When faced with small disasters running it with the remote is easy, much like a remote car. Yes, Bob is now part of the family.

This has been my 2nd vacuum of this sort. It does an OK job but I've found it more "sensitive" to internal cleaning & maintenance. The roller brush has been fine & I may have not done enough research but was surprised there's only 1 sweep brush. It is sufficient but not as good as my 1st devise.

It does a good job picking up pet hair and sand. However, it requires much more supervision than I would have thought necessary. Seems it is always getting hung up on edges of rugs or under chairs. Will not clean under the toe kick space in the kitchen so that is a problem. I just don’t like it as much as I thought I would.

It's not very intuitive in how it cleans and will sort of wander aimlessly. It also has an issue getting stuck on a 2 millimeter separator piece.That said, it cleans very well.

Works good a little bit more noisy than I thought it would be. Gets stuck sometimes. But overall I’m pleased.

Very heavy and hard to clean dust Ben. Only good thing about it was the red color.
