Easy to install and works great so far.

Very frustrating to install. It is by far the tightest fit I have ever installed. My outdoor speaker wire has four lead inside a black plastic shield. It is direct burial wire. I finally had to strip off about six inches of the black shielding to get it to fit inside the box. There was no way to get the actual volume control to fit inside the weatherproof box with the shieling on. I must say it is much nicer than the other brand. It sounds great and the weather proofing seem netter than the other brand. At $20.00 each this is a great bargain. It is 95 degrees here in Florida, When the weather cools down I will clean up my installation and more than likely hook some stripped wires to the terminal blocks and then run that out to the main feed.

Wish it came with better instructions, the product was a bit flimsy inside, but once it was all wired and installed it's been a solid box!

Tried to use and adjust the jumpers for my speaker configuration, however, ended up bypassing it altogether. I had to wire my 4ohm outdoor speakers in series for my 8ohm amp. When also adjusting the jumpers for the speaker settings, whether I wired in parallel or series, the speakers really lacked volume. I finally ended up splicing the wires together in the volume housing and have the speakers wired in series at my amp. WHOA what a volume difference.I think this volume rocker was also putting more stress on the amp as it was starting to get very hot with almost any speaker config. Once I took the volume rocker out of play, my speakers rocked. Highly do not recommend.Also, the plastic screw holes inside break off easily.

THE PIPE OPENING IS 3/4.Purchased to have control of speakers 120 feet away from the house. Works PERFECT. no more running back and forth. Works EXACTLY as advertised. I went with TRUE 14GA wire since it was a long run. It's a little tight in there but with some patience I had no issues.Painted black for concealment leaving knob white to find it easier in the dark.Their tech support was amazing. I forgot to bring the box with me to the store to get the right pvc pipe. A quick phone call and I was home installing it.

Works well, and build quality was as expected. Sorted with 16 gauge, 4 channel input and dual channel output. Box is a bit tight inside if you leave much of the sheath on the wires. Strip off at least 5-6 inches of the outer sheath to allow good routing of the wire. I recommend using small zip ties on the wiring after all input/output channels are connected. This will prevent putting tension on the circuit board when dropping the board into the box. also, secure the wires coming out of the box by binding again with a zip tie. I have employed this with a 50W/channel amplifier and TIC outdoor speakers. I recommend buying the 100W vs the 50W volume controller if your peak is a 50W system. This will handle any transient peaks and avoid blowing this unit.

Purchased this to complete my outdoor system around my pool. after installation completion i powered everything up and it sounded terrible, i was getting a bunch of resistance noise at the volume controller. as i was ready to submit a claim to have my money refunded i went on the monoprice site to look at feedback and watched a video of an installation and realized i never changed the pins inside the unit to work with my setup. Once i did that it was perfect, the sound is perfect and love the fact i am able to adjust the volume from right outside my home!

It didn't work well with my speakers. Ended up burning up two of them before a find a different kind somewhere else that worked right. Problem was my speakers were 6 ohm and the control was for an 4 or 8 ohm.

Defective unit. Muffled and distorted sound. Lots of pops between steps and complete loss of high frequencies at all but highest volume setting/bypass. Impedance was matched between amp and speakers correctly - 70w @ 8ohm amp feeding 100w 8ohm speakers. All well within the 100w rating of this device.

The LHS speaker output is not working; I switched out wires from LHS to RHS and back again; the LHS output is muffled and barely audible.
