Grab a woodworking tool and get to it!
You would never know it unless you're a craft nut like me, but these are FANTASTIC for using a woodworking tool (one of those heated tools you get for $9.99 at a craft store) and just carving any old shapes into. Saw a lady on Pinterest who had done it, and it really just takes one egg to practice with, hardly any "talent" per se, just imagination (or I wouldn't be doing it), and you're off.... should not be done by children unsupervised by adults who are actually WATCHING them, of course, since there is a heated and sharp wood tool involved here, of course, but it's an enjoyable craft for a bored 15-year-old with nothing else to do who needs a creative outlet, for sure, and if you happen to have these left over from Easter, well, there you go. Give it a try; you may really love it. Forget the name of the lady who did this on Pinterest, but easily found, I'm sure. I understand these are great dyed, too, which I'll probably try, and for the price, it's worth trying lots of different ideas. I know there are a ton of great craft ideas out there, if you're addicted to crafts like i am and have a patient and loving family who doesn't mind that you take over available table in the house to do them!

Ping-pong material
These are egg-sized and shaped but the plastic is similar to ping pong balls. For some reason I was expecting a more porous material. They work ok with the dye provided or any non-watercolor paint. If you use regular egg dye, it's extremely faint, no matter how long you leave them. The best would probably be paint, puff paint, maybe regular stickers. You cannot use the boil wraps on these.

Painting
They serve the purpose for painting them. they can NOT BE DYED. Reason 1. The more vinegar you put in the water with the dye tablet, the stronger it's supposed to sue the egg. Well I put TWO TABLETS and a little more vinegar than the usual and all it did was stain my hand when I tried to remove the egg. Reason 2. The egg will not drown in the water tablet solution. But overall the kids had an amazing time painting them. They are GREAT for painting hence the 4 stars. Oh and Walmart sells them for 1.99 wink wink

Fun to keep for next easter
I got these to send to my sister bc she couldn’t get eggs during coronavirus lockdown. I ended up keeping a couple to try. I thought they were great. The kids actually drew on them with permanent marker. I think it’s fun that we will have them next year.

Awesome!!
These are absolutely adorable. We used the dye that came with the eggs and rice to have our kids shake them up. We also used some magic markers to let them draw on the eggs. Would totally do it again!!

which is great!
These are fabulous! The bag that comes with them is a little messy, but they lasted about a week in our house, which is great!
