Good support when needed and collapsible
We have two sets of these poles. I originally bought for help when I had sciatica and now my husband is using for ankle issues. We have used them all over the world - from Vietnam to the Black Sea and also hiking at home. The only issue we have had is that a tip came off. Also, they do make a noise because the included tip is hard. Need to replace the tips with softer material but otherwise they do a great job and are 20% the cost of others out there.

Horrible Hiking Poles
Both poles broke on my second hike. First hike was 28 miles and I only made it a mile into the second hike when they broke. The handles are connected by cheap plastic at the pole extension. These might be good for walking on level terrain, but that's about it. They suck for hiking in the mountains.

Walking poles.
These are large enough for someone who is 6'1'', but not much more. They feel pretty sturdy once together, but not as much as solid walking poles. The separate bags for each pole is nice, since you don't always need to use 2. Takes up a little more room than telescoping poles, which would probably be my choice if space was at a premuim.

Critical Failure After ~15 Miles in the Woods
Pro:- Length. At 6'3", these were tall enough to get my elbows at a 90 degree bend, but barely.- Comfortable.Con:- Made an annoying clanking sound with every step - One of the plastic locks broke after about 15 miles. I was able to kind of patch it with duct tape to finish the hike, but it was a pain to keep it together. It was either cheap materials or poor design or both. Probably both.

Great quality, Tough, Durable and Extremely lightweight .
Great addition to my Sons hiking gear. I got these as a birthday gift for my 27 year old Son and he loves them he went out the day after he got them these are the first trekking poles he's ever had and he was very surprised at how much they helped and was really impressed with the quality and durability. One of the things he really like to start was that he can fold these up and tie them to the outside of his pack until he needs them then it's so simple and fast to set them up the different types of tips make these great in mud, on dry ground and when it snows they even have a tip for that. These being made of such great quality aluminum makes them light weight but very tough the locking pins built into these makes them safer than the slip together type they stay together even when dropped but the attached adjustable wrist strap keeps them in your hand when you want them and you can let go of the pole to use your hands for something else without having to worry about dropping or losing them. With the ability to adjust the length you decide where there the most comfortable for you because you can slide the pole to fit you and lock it securely and they stay where you set them even when folded back up and put into the tough and convenient carry bag. I can see having to get another pair of these for our Daughters birthday that's coming up soon and when I do I know we'll be getting her a great quality and useful gift that will add a great amount of safety when hiking the Colorado mountains. My son hasn't shared the pictures of these with me yet as soon as I have them I'll update my review showing these at work.

Cheap construction
Purchased two sets. One pole broke first day of use, plastic connector. Cheap, thin, flimsy plastic vital part just snapped after an hour. Rendered pole unusable.
