which would be great probably if I wasn't allergic to cinnamon
Smaller than expected. Also, had a cinnamon roll mix rather than a cookie mix, which would be great probably if I wasn't allergic to cinnamon.

Good for white elephant exchange
Bought for a white elephant exchange. I have received on myself a few years ago and it is delicious.

Their eyes are bigger than their skillet.
My eight-year-old daughter received this as a gift from someone in her Brownie troop. Cute, and she was very excited to make it.The pan is perfectly reasonable, although it's so small I'm not sure what else you'd do with it.The brownies are average boxed brownies. My kids are used to homemade so they weren't impressed with these. The funny part was the quantity of batter v. the size of the pan. It was obviously too much, but I figured we'd put it on a cookie sheet (as instructed) and see what happened. Sure enough, it was *at least* twice as much batter as the pan could hold! I took pictures and if I can figure out how to post them, I will.

Terrible cookie, nice pan
I purchased one of these at a bricks and mortar store on clearance, because I've been wanting to try out cooking with cast iron. The pan itself is solid, even though it is pretty small and has no sides. The included washing and seasoning instructions were simple and clear. When I made the cookie mix, though, wow, it just turned out terribly. It cooked fine in the pan but it tasted bland and had a texture more like cake than a cookie. So, buy it for the pan and don't expect anything from the cookie mix.

Cookie mix included is not tasty
I won this at a White Elephant Christmas party gift exchange. I was so excited because I LOVE BJ's restaurant Pizookies! The recipe was easy to follow. (mix+1/4c butter+1egg+1tsp vanilla+chocochips, bake 375 for 10min). But the mix doesn't taste very good. I took a few bites and dumped it. I am happy to have the skillet. I plan on making my own home made batch soon!

Great pan... but don't bother with the cookie mix.
My daughter gave this to me as a holiday gift, knowing I love cast iron (especially unusual sizes/shapes).The pan is absolutely perfect. It is a great size (for a big cookie) and shape, and it is 'seasoned' well. The absolutely horrible cookie mix prevents me from giving a 'five star' review. First, it tastes and smells of cinnamon (which is not on the ingredient list). Second, it tastes as though there is no sugar at all in it. Third, it produced a very dry, crumbly cookie, that tastes mostly of baking soda, which is odd, because it didn't 'rise' during baking. After the first (very small) bite, it was thrown into the trash can. That said, I will get plenty of use from the pan using homemade dough (I'm guessing 1/2 to 3/4 cup per cookie), which is what my daughter, I am quite sure, figured I'd do in the first place.
