I have several Parkinsons books. This one is easy to read and understand.

A fantastic, well written book that covers all the current and emerging Parkinson's therapies in a concise and easy to read format. Dr. Okun breaks down the reasoning behind various therapies and provides pertinent background and historical information. As a clinician, I found this book very helpful in getting a bird's eye view of all the latest developments in the field, all in one place. Furthermore, the language can be easily digested by a person without a medical background. I will be enthusiastically recommending this book to my patients and their family members as they are always thirsty for more information.

Well-written and informative, however, nothing new from what I had already read.

Dr. Okun has compiled a treasure trove of information of not only current therapies, but also of prospective ideas and efforts being made in the field of Parkinson's disease. It is an optimistic perspective of what is in practice presently and the possibilities of what might be available in the not too distant future. More importantly, it illustrates how the medical community has bonded inits effort to develop an interdisciplinary system to both protect the parkinsons patient and to optimize treatment.As a caretaker and a movement specialist, I shall use this book at all times. As for my family member who is afflicted with pd, he is being taught how to be proactive in his own treatment and to identify changes as they occur.This book is not only a must read, but a must have.
