no mushrooms o o o after 5 weeks

The media could not be loaded.  I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised.Pros-I followed the directions exactly on the box and it produced a huge bunch of mushrooms in 1 week.-I used the spray bottle to keep all sides moist once a day. I kept it on a wet paper towel, and continued to mist the paper towel once a day too to keep it moist.-As instructed, I kept it out of sunlight and in my basement.-Within 2 days I had tons of tiny little mushroom poking from the block. The mushrooms grew so fast and within 5 more days they looked ready to harvest.Considerations-I wish there were instructions how to harvest these. Do I cut them off? Do I pull them off? Should I dig it out of the block? I just cut them off and hopefully i will get another harvest in the coming weeks.-The provided plastic bag is not much larger than the block. Once the mushrooms started getting larger, I cut the back side of the bag so the mushrooms would have more room to grow.

The instructions are clear, and the set up is easy. I just didn't have any luck growing the mushrooms. However, when I contacted Happy Caps customer service, they responded immediately with very good instructions and an offer to send another kit. I am still trying out their suggested recommendations, before I request another kit. Excellent customer service.

Nice mushrooms were forming in just a few days and came out well! However it's been weeks and I have yet to see another flush.

Do not waist your money.

Got the kit, my wife was very excited, started the kit, Got a little spore growing and then everything died.I don't think it was the kits fault because the spore colony box was very white and looked very healthy.I think it was something we did wrong.Im not entirely sure but we failed and then we tried the other side and failed too. Could have been the heat in the home possibly too.Overall I think the kit is great though and it has everything you need thus the 5 stars. This is the type of thing where you really could have a user error so be cautious.Mushrooms are overall easy to grow but we didn't make it happen for some reason.A bit disappointed but none the less ill try again later.

very few mushrooms

I followed direction to the letter but this was a complete disappointment. Wasted my money and my time.

I got this as a gift for my sister - I was a little hesitant at first considering the other mixed reviews, but this was quite interesting! My sister kept it in the package and they were impatient and started growing out of the box before she even set them up. Alas, more mushrooms came, and we had about 3 rounds of them before they started to develop black mold(?). There wasn't as many mushrooms as the example image shows - but if taken care of properly, they will grow and you'll get enough to use for your dinner dish. All in all I would recommend, as this was a very fun experience!

While our lions mane mushrooms are flourishing, there is absolutely no growth evident on the oyster mushrooms. Its an interesting product but without any results from it, fairly disappointing.

Very cool project. Love that I can grow mushrooms in my home.The instructions were a bit vague, however if you watch a couple instructional videos online you will be able to figure it out.We didn't realize our basement was too cold, we ended up moving upstairs. so make sure you've got the right temperature and a little bit of light. Keep them moist by misting twice daily and you should start to see some magic!

Growing mushrooms at home can be a bit challenging due to the specific environmental conditions they require. This is my third attempt with different mushroom kits, and my results have been consistent. The initial yield is decent, but subsequent harvests have been disappointing. Considering the cost, the return isn't very efficient.Writing a review for a living organism is tricky due to the many variables involved. However, I've given this product three stars for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I found the instructions lacking in detail, which can be frustrating for beginners. Secondly, the YouTube video provided as guidance isn't very well-made, making the process less user-friendly.

I did exactly as the instructions said, and somehow the mushrooms aborted as soon as they started pinning. I was misting them, kept them in a cool place with only one window and it was not near the window. Soaked exactly as directed. No mushrooms yet… holding out for a second flush before I dump it into a pile of wood chips.
