Lasting performance, good item
Update on 9/11/23This unit is lasting! Still working fine! You can safely ignore the glitches I have encountered.***This review is with a 10.5" iPad Air 3.Updates are on the top; I do not modify previous stages of my review, except for eliminating typos and adding clarifications.12/23/19The seller sent me a whole new arm and frame. The arm was actually not an overkill. I forgot to mention it before, but the arm was impossible to tighten tight enough. If this time it works, the dual support is already worth the price I paid. However, I am much more excited about the frame being possible to be tightened so that it would not drop after tightening. Will keep you updated.12/21/19The seller has already responded and informed me that all customers are receiving upgrades. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the manufacturer, because I hope that this otherwise superb product will succeed!I will describe my experience with the update and modify my rating accordingly. At the moment, I am still stuck with the original setup, so there is no reason to modify my rating of the product itself.12/19/19I usually don't write a lot of reviews, but I want to save prospective buyers from a Christmas disappointment.Originally, I bought this unit, because it has the longest arm. I was willing to pay extra for sturdiness and reliability, but that is where this unit fails, so the extra expense is wasted. Here is why. While the arm and the fittings are amazingly sturdy, the two panels provided, (while looking beautiful) are even more remarkably feeble; made of not-so-sturdy plastic (and it would help, if they had a protruding part on the back, because inserting the iPad into the frame is a two-handed procedure and I could use third hand to secure the iPad). You can feel safe about the spring unit as long as whatever you place in it stays there, but do you really want to keep your electric toy within the frame all the time? There are another two, significantly more essential, deal-breakers.1. My 10.5" iPad Air 3 cannot be steadily set, because the frame rotates even after tightening the cheap plastic nut; it wobbles a little. You can adjust the screen to the point where the frame does not slide any lower (it sits against something within the assembly), but cannot freely adjust it to any angle, because it slides back to the lowest point.2. Even more painfully, the screw that is supposed to tighten the screen, is made of thin and fragile plastic, and I cannot see that replacements are available. However, tightening it does not work, because the thread eventually skips beyond a certain point.3. As I mentioned before, inserting the tablet into the frame is a three-handed procedure, so every time you do it or, for that matter, remove your tablet, you are performing a somewhat haphazard act.You end up with a screen that cannot be adjusted easily and a screw that doesn't tighten, but is weak enough to break unpredictably, leaving you with a 35-dollar piece of junk. Or worse, you drop your tablet and break it; that would render the holder itself redundant.P. S.: I will update my review after the seller answers my inquiries, especially the availability of extra nuts (as I am willing to live with the rest).

My favorite iPad 12.9” tablet holder
This is the best tablet holder I have found for the iPad 12.9” (2018) to date. It isn’t too expensive but it isn’t cheap, so it isn’t cheaply made. It’s well constructed of sturdy metal and plastic. It’s articulating head has very diverse positioning options. It comes with a second head for holding a phone. I haven’t used that head but it’s constructed exactly the same. *update* I have now used the phone holder head. Works great, but, like with the iPad the phone won’t fit in the holder with a case on. So I have to take it off to use the holder. Since I’m using it at night when I go to bed this isn’t a big deal; I take the case off and put the phone in the holder and case on the nightstand. Then, when I get up I put my case back on. The plus is that I’m keeping the inside of my phone case and the parts it covers a lot cleaner now. :)The neck of the holder is easy to bend but stays in position and doesn’t sag under the weight of the tablet. Since I have an iPad Pro 12.9” 2018 model that’s impressive. The clamp is wide so it can fit on lots of surfaces. It also looks good. It’s simple color scheme of white, grey, and silver is perfect for any room or desk set up.I have one for use in bed and one setup at my desk to hold the iPad at the same height as my computer monitors, which are on a dual arm stand mount, so that when I use sidecar there is uniformity in sight-line height, or if I am connecting the iPad to an external monitor to work on it alone the screens are at the same height as well.

Durable product, great for comfortability
I was skeptical at first seeing all the bad reviews. But me and my wife decided to take a gamble and get our comfortable living arrangements on. The product is very strong and durable and holds our iPad Pros (with the heavy duty case on it) in the arms tightly and snug. I love the way you can adjust the arm and pivot the adjustable holder to fit whatever position you’re looking for. This should be at Walmart or target. I’m glad that this company along with amazon could bring us a product that suits our everyday lifestyle. Believe me you won’t regret it. The only gripe I have is the holding arms need padding between the metal holders. Me and my wife bought some material to put in there to avoid scratching the iPads. And they screwed up my order the first time and only sent one when I ordered 2 of them. The product came in a envelope with tape wrapped around it. and it wasn’t what I was expecting. But overall they must be new at this business thing and they’ll get better. I give this a “A”

Awesome product!
This is a serious piece of hardware! I have had 2 other similar holders, and they had inferior clamps, were difficult to adjust, and hard to secure my tablet. Once assembled, this is very easy to place tablet in holder and remove it. It is easy to adjust but also holds device firmly. I have a 11 1/2" tablet and it holds it very securely. I love the 360 degree rotation. It's easy to rotate it out of the way when not in use. I don't know how any times I bumped my head with my previous holders. Only negative comment is the installation instructions, but if you study the pictures and the parts it can be figured out. I am so happy I purchased this product. I think the seller or manufacturer should give one to a good technical writer for keeps in exchange for a well written set of instructions. It would be a win-win for both parties I think.

DOES NOT SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF A 9.7" iPAD PRO
It appears well built, but inevitably, the iPad Pro ends up in my face if I use the mount the way it is pictured in the ad. The 'arm' is too weak. It kind of works as a stand, if it is resting on a surface. But the arm is simply not strong enough. Too bad I can't return it.
