Amazing mic and you can't beat the price-point.
I am not a professional sound person, but I am starting to put on some 1 hour seminars and speak at events. Between video and sound equipment getting into all this is very expensive and I was considering a $300 mic as I want quality until I saw this one. Figured for $12 it was worth a shot with it's good reviews it mostly had one person said he was switching from the expensive mic to these. After I ordered I am pleased with my results so far. When I initially put it on it hurt and was not comfortable but made a few small adjustments to make it fit my larger ear and fixed that right up. The audio sounds good and I am not getting any feedback. It has a mini 3 pin xlr for the plugin connector.I will definitely be ordering more of these for my other microphones!***So as an update as I have been playing with sound quality and recording my seminars. The sound for this as far as people listening to me in the moment is just fine. However when recording for purposes of making a cd out of it or sound for a video the recorded sound is fairly scratchy and more has the quality of a free conference call recording give or take. Normally in the past I have used an $80 usb mic for this which has superior results comparatively. So if you are looking to record for playback purposes I would give this item more like 3 stars but I will keep it 5 because I still think it is excellent for the price and it's purpose, just know what you are getting into with it before you make your purchase.

Great quality and extreme value!
I ordered over a dozen of these for a recent production, as the cast members wanted to have their own dedicated microphones. They proved to be durable and have excellent sound quality (even before considering the great price).I'd absolutely order more in the future! Hopefully GTD will consider making these with additional connectors. (Sennheiser 3.5mm and Audio-Technica cW and/or cH would be great!)

Great Little Headset...very light but fragile! What sound / signal to noise ratio!
When you hook-up your single ear hook to your lav pack transmitter, you are going to be amazed. The Signal to noise ratio improves over a regular lavalier mic that comes with the transmitter as well as another type of DOUBLE ear hanging mic. Its nude/beige color helps to not to be as obvious to your audience making a better presentation thru the meeting or performance... not sure if the freq. response is wide enough for vocal music vs speech frequencies which are narrower, but the body pack runs 35hz thru 23Khz audio freq. , so we know that won't be a reason not to have a great performance. Now, what this relates to is Oldsmobile/Civic priced gear...with Cadallac/Accord (Shure/Sennheiser) quality! Their is construction quality of a lower quality that makes this more fragile than mics of other manufactures that are of high quality. This makes a observation and use of them to be more RESPECTFUL of what you have. $12 is $12 bucks... going thru 6 of these vs one of higher quality at maybe $125, that might be compatible with your bodypack, eventually costs you in the long run either way. This is a great mic though and I've gotten great feed back from many of my speakers since my start of use in Summer of 2014, including Lecturer/International author New Zealander, Trevor Loudon, who used my lav pack and this mic for a presentation of his newest book and subject, for a local meeting in the Seattle area, last August. Enjoy your mics...but treat them with respect to make them last... I bought more and asked for more foam breath pop filters...instead of a few thrown in...I got a dozen from the Manufacture... thank you Audio USA maker of GTD Audio Equipment.

A Good Microphone
I needed an over-the-ear microphone to work with a FiFine belt-pack transmitter/receiver that I had purchased. I contacted FiFine and a customer service representative recommended this microphone, so I purchased it. It works quite well with their transmitter. I would recommend this microphone to other customers.

Be gentle with the wire
This mic sounds good. The boom needs to be shorter. When used on people with smaller faces the mic ends up to close to their mouth. The bad thing about this mic is the wire pulls out of the fitting on the headset way to easy. GTD needs to make this area stronger. Once the wire pulls out there is no way to fix it!

It don't work
I love my gtd audio Microphone system, you can see my comment posted on it. But this earhook headset mic don't work fine.It is imposible to use in the church, im a pastor of a big church with a very good sound, but this makes a lot of feedback and noise. I last like two hours with the sound man of the church, but was imposible to use it. I have two more earhook mic and they work great, i think this one is damageMy advice? Don't buy this

Paired with the GTD Wireless receiver/bodypack system, these are amazingly good for the price!
If you have the GTD bodypacks, DEFINITELY buy these remarkably inexpensive earhook microphones. The sound quality is WAY better than I had any right to expect, and they perform much better than the $80 mikes I was ordering for our church's previous Shure Wireless bodypack system. They are durable, too! We've only been using them for a few months, but earhook mikes are notorious for shorting out (which makes sense, when you consider the very thin and delicate wiring involved), but we have had zero problems so far. Plus, they are so cheap, you can afford to have a drawerful on hand as backups, if so desired!
