Listen to your wife!! This thing works!!
I had to write & post this tonight!! This fish basket thing came yesterday (the large one) and my husband rolled his eyes at it & gave me all kinds of crud about it being a stupid idea & not very big blah blah blah.... Today, the next day, we went on the river in our kayaks fishing. He wasn't expecting to catch anything, so he didn't bring anything out to put a fish in on his kayak. And what did he catch?? A 27" 10 pound Chinook salmon fin clipped!! So a keeper for sure. And where did we put it? I scooped it up in MY basket thing & we headed right back to the dock him dragging his fish along in this basket 😂🤣 I did throw him a carabiner clip that he clipped the handle to his kayak just in case he lost grip & then that clip held it while we scrambled at the dock to find something to knock the fish out & a grocery bag to take it over to the fish cleaning station & then took some to friends & home for dinner. All while I gave him crud all afternoon & evening about my basket working 😂🤣 I'm thinking he's going to have me order one for his kayak now LOL 😆 🤣😂

Outstanding. I use it with my kayak.
This is great. I use it with my kayak. Fish can be put in and the fish stay alive. Whats good is if you decide not to keep the fish. They can be let go with no harm to the fish. It works just loke a live well. I love it. Way better than a stringer. No harm to the fish and they stay alive and well.

Happy so far
When it arrived I was surprised how fragile and flimsy it looks. But now we've used it once and it does the job. I tied a long cord to the handle and dangle it from a tree branch into the water when shore fishing. It easily holds more than 30 panfish and keeps them alive. Most importantly, it fits inside a 5 gal bucket so you can carry fish around without spreading slime. Time will tell how durable it is. Edit: After using it several times the answer is not durable enough. When we had it in the water and weren't watching it closely a turtle chewed a big hole in the mesh to get at the fish inside.

Excellent for keeping bait fish alive
Needed something to hang off my kayak to keep larger bait fish alive. This works perfect to hang off the cleat into the water. I use large baits suckers and pan fish for muskie and bags cats..love it and especially for the price

Weak webbing.
Used this one time to store live shrimp in our salt water canal. After one night the shrimp were gone. The webbing is very weak and there were holes everywhere. Would not recommend.

Beer Served Cold
Forget Bait! Bought this to put a 12 pack of beers in and slide down into an icy creek by our cabin. It's strong enough to hold the weight and friends always get a kick out of pulling the net up to grab a cold one.

Low quality
I used it 3 times and I already see its falling apart. Low quality

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND
My own fault... I know you get what you pay for... average quality, very very small. Strap to hold if extremely thin.. Might hold 3 seven inch trout, or might hold 3 decent Crappie, or maybe even 5 decent bluegills... like I said, you get what you pay for....
