Industry Best Instruction and Self Correction Tool
As a long time youth football coach and a father of 2 young aspiring quarterbacks I am constantly looking for new teaching methods and better instruction on quarterback mechanics. There are a lot of options out there in the industry today but this DVD set is by far the best I have come across. The instruction in these videos are boiled down to easy to understand concepts and you get accurate reasons as to why. On top of that you are learning how to self correct common throwing mistakes. That gives the young quarterback the tools necessary to detect and correct issues on the field and have an educated conversation with the coach on the sideline after a possession. What used to be a long back and forth on what went wrong on a play, I can now have quick productive conversations with my quarterbacks that result in immediate resolution so we can concentrate on the next play or possession. As a bonus, but just as important, there is a great leadership presentation in volume 8. I will use many of the discussion points in that section to improve as a coach and a leader of young men. In addition as a father of 2 boys who I hope will grow up into future leaders the leadership instruction provides an incredible foundation that can be used on and off the field.Lastly you know instructional DVD's are good when your own kids want to watch them w/o you having to force it. My oldest son, currently in middle school, watches these videos on is own and actively takes notes on the techniques and what drills help for each skill.I highly recommend this product to coaches and parents that want the best instruction and self correction methods for young quarterbacks.

The best quarterback videos I have ever seen .
It takes you through the process step-by-step playing the position of quarterback. It teaches you very key components of coaching and playing the quarterback position at a very high-level. It was definitely eye opener for me and the Quarterback I’m teaching love it they are catching on very quick, they were better quarterback after my first session with them from the information I learned from the videos. It’s better than some Quarterback camps in my opinion because u slow the process down so the quarterback can really learn why he has to do I certain thing at a certain time unlike some QB camp where there are 100-200 Quarterback there not enough one on one training.

Scratched discs/corrupted data
My review at this point is based off the product itself not the content. Disc 2 was scratched to the point it was unreadable so we have not been able to watch the DVD. I did not check any of the other discs

A must have for the QB coach at any level!
I just finished watching the updated version of the Self Correct System by Darin Slack of the National Football Academies. These new videos are very informative, you're not just getting a bunch of drills to use, but you are getting a very detailed list of drills and the "why" behind these drills. The drills are laid out for you and explained in a sequenced order in a very easy to understand manner, not mention the side by side view of the drills being actually shown to you.Darin, like no other I have seen, breaks down the key aspects of the throwing motion in a very easy to understand manner, but also provides the bio-mechanically sound reasons behind the process. No catch phrases are needed here, just the scientifically proven evidence on how to properly throw a football and the specific drills to use to enhance each aspect of the throw. On top of all the updated drills and new ones as well, it is problem Volume 8 that sets this apart from all the other self proclaimed QB "guru's" out there, Darin's message on Leadership and the effect that is has on not only the young men who attend the NFA camps, but also the parents that are there with their kids, but also the teammates of those kids as well. The idea of it not being about you, but about being there for your teammates, your coaches, your family, that is what separates this DVD package from any other out there.Mike Holderman

Great QB training resource!
I have been coaching youth football for 16 years and constantly look for new training techniques and drills to help my QB's develop. This is the best QB development training I have come across. The concepts are clear, concise and easy to understand. The DVD's are great for a coach wanting to teach proper mechanics or for self study by up and coming QB's or their parents. Coach Slack teaches bio-mechanically sound principles that help a QB understand why they miss their target and how to self correct. There are a ton of great drills on the DVD's to help teach and apply the skills being taught. I highly recommend Coach Slack's Complete Quarterback System.

Hands down, the best QB mechanics resource I've come across!
I have books, watched online videos, purchased other DVD's and this is the best QB training resource and it's not even close. The concepts being taught are crystal clear and presented in a way that you need no prior knowledge to understand. They do a tremendous job of tying the information and technique to the bio-mechanics of the body. Most other training tools I've found present information, but struggle to tie it to why it being taught that way. I currently own several resources that just repeat coaching cliches and have drills that don't necessarily tie to anything of substance, it's great to have finally found something that's different. The sequence and types of drills being presented in the DVD's do a great job of reinforcing the information. The clarity, depth and process presented in the DVD's will help any willing QB be a master of his own mechanics!
