Popular 8 Note Songs: Music Patterns for Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Recorder, Bells and Piano Paperback – March 10, 2017

I was shocked to see such a tiny 6 x 8 book that seemed more like a product insert than a separate book you would pay money for. It will not work at all for my 3 and 4 year olds in my music program. There was no indication on the product view on Amazon that it was so small. Typically when there is a "see inside" they show a model of someone holding the book with the dimensions, but not on this one. The view inside only shows words at the beginning in the introduction, but not the layout of the notes in the songs. I assumed it would be large enough for little children to see the colored notes to play the songs, but this is clearly more for adults or older kids; not for preschool. Each page tells in words what to do, rather than using an easy to follow color coded picture. The colored square notes are there, but not simple enough for preschoolers to follow along. I am very disappointed. I don't think the product gave enough detail to let customers know it was so tiny and that young children would not be able to use it.

The book's dimensions are not what I expected. The book is about 8 inches wide and is about 6 inches tall. Otherwise, the book (actually a booklet) is as described. The book is so small that I feel like it is significantly overpriced.

I wish a book had actually come with the toy and have to buy separately.

Easy, standard color & number outlined book. Easy songs. For developing that ear for music. Great for youngsters, all ages.

We use this with a small xylophone we purchased for my toddler son. Good variety of common songs, easy to play even if you don't have much musical background.

Sometimes you would have to strike the keys twice to produce a sound. It’s more of a toy than a musical instrument.

Nice book, very helpful with my new xylophone.

Nice little music book for children

This is a small A5 size booklet of 42pages. If i could i would give it no stars at all. The booklet is a cone, would advise people not to spend £ 11+something on it as, the booklet i'd say is worth about £ 0.50. The booklet is useless for using it with the bells that it is paired with.. the colors of the notes are completely different on the bells than they are in the book therefore, the book can't be used to teach music to pre-schoolers.
