This mug is special in that the design appears on both sides, not just one. I bought two for a pair of elderly sisters who didn't know of each other's existence until they were in their 80s—an amazing story—and I am very excited to present them to the "girls." Each mug was packed in a sturdy box, but I think Amazon could have put more packing material in the shipping box to keep the mug boxes from moving about. But nothing was broken, so it turned out fine this time. All in all, this is the perfect mug for a very unusual gift-giving situation, and I'm so happy it exists!

Cup looks great. It arrived safely and I look forward to give it as a gift to, who else? My sister. Not sure about the durability because I want to see how it washes and if it will last long. So not rating the durability yet.
