I enjoyed an inside peak into Dwayne Johnson and his start
Enjoyed the book for what it was. A peak at the rise of a popular wrestler who is still young. I think people tend to want to read all details of private lives but I enjoyed the book for what it was. A peak at a hard worker who started out low but decided to grab the bull by the horns and go for it in life using his body for something athletic and entertaining. He wanted to be somebody and he made it happen. I'm sure it won't go into some prestigious award but it doesn't need to that's not the point. I don't get the bother that the book goes into Rock talk. I mean the title is The Rock Says...so really it's a humorous side where he talks about wrestlers opponents or whatever. Still a good read if you like The Rock and want to read about his early struggles. I think the second autobiography will be a really good read as Dwayne Johnson matured and has stepped into Hollywood. So if you want to get a peak into his early start then enjoy this book.

The People's Champ
This book was written over a decade ago. I don't know what took me so long to buy and read this book, being that I am a huge Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson fan. It was nice to see the evolution of a super star! He came from humble beginnings and as I've followed his career can see he's kept his humble nature. For any WWE or Rock fan, this book is a great read! You will enjoy rooting for this talented man and find yourself laughing out loud at certain parts in the book. It's an easy read and I appreciated the honesty of it all. There was no candy coating the nature of the sports entertainment business. You get a real look at what goes into entertaining the fans.

Never Though I'd Read This
I never thought I'd read the biography of a Pro Rastler, but as you all know Dwayne Johnson is not your ordinary wrestler. This book is well written and down right entertaining. Highly recommend to anyone whether they are rastlin fans or not.To address some of the negative reviews on this book: if you think Dwayne Johnson had his life handed to him on a silver platter you need to get your head checked. And yes, they should have left the parts of the book written in Rock character out.

The Great One
The book was as I expected, full of information of the rock, how he became who he is today. He is a good role model to follow from what he is been through. Wonderful book I really recommended, you won't be disappointed I promise.

The Rock Says Read His Book!
The Rock's book is quite entertaining. It's a good reflection on his time during the early days of the attitude era. Can't wait to see if he writes a new book to follow up his time from leaving the WWE to conquering Hollywood!

While I enjoyed the history of The Rock
While I enjoyed the history of The Rock, and his behind the scenes experience with the WWE (then WWF), I could not enjoy a large portion of this book due to the switching of voices from Dwayne to The Rock. Voice shifts like this ruin the flow of a work, and for me personally, turned a likeable book to an annoyance. WWE and Rock fans will enjoy this read because it does display The Rock’s history and upbringing, and his struggles to become the superstar he is now, and super fans of The Rock’s character will probably be able to overlook the sudden changes of voice within the work, but for me, this book is just Ok. Three out of five stars.
