Works Great. BUT.
Okay, this is the second one of these antennas of this design that I've had. The first one was bought when there was talk of a huge rise in the monthly cable bill. Well, that rise didn't come, and the antenna was put aside. It was awhile but there was an issue with the cable and it was dropped. When I went to put up the first antenna, I found that it had been damaged. It was repaired as best a possible, but it wasn't perfect, and it had problems receiving stations. It worked fine when it worked, but still there were issues that I figured were due too the damage. So I purchased a newer model. Basically the same antenna but with slight "improvements". The new model preformed no better than the first damaged antenna. Keep in mind that all of this took place over a time period of over a year. Both of the antennas were moved, raised and lowered several times in an effort to receive a good signal. Nothing seemed as it improve the signal. Since the antenna worked so well when it worked/received a signal, I was convinced that the cable company was somehow blocking the signal at will. Most times at the near end of a program that I had been watching. Well... it wasn't the cable company. My property has a rise in the back of the house, so since the height of the antenna was always higher than the house, and appeared that it was clear of any obstructions between the antenna and the broadcast tower, I though all was well height wise. That was not the case. Once the antenna was mounted at 40 ft. all was well. The reception is now perfect, and there's no need for moving the antenna around while looking for a signal. All stations come in clear as could be expected. The antenna was at 20 ft. Yes it needed the height doubled. It still had issues at 30 ft. Anyway, problem fixed. As for the antenna, the antenna is cheaply made, but hey, its only a little over $30.00 so what can be expected. The remote is still a device that even though it has 2 buttons that give the impression that the antenna can be moved either way, only moves the antenna in one direction. I personally would have thought that that defect in design would have been corrected in between when I bought the first model and the 2 years that past before buying the second model. Bottom line. If you need an inexpensive antenna, and have a clear UN-obstructed path to the nearest broadcast tower, this is a good start. I would not recommend this antenna for any type of indoor mounting, nor for a position where the antenna is blocked in anyway. A tree or bush is enough of a blockage that the antenna will have receive issues. If you have one of these antennas and your signal keeps going off, or the channels change/drift on their own, try raising the antenna Also, I receive 17 different stations. Some are controlled by the same operator, which means at times I receive the same broadcast on several channels at the same time. Don't expect HBO, ECT. The antenna works, but the location is a huge factor.

Easy to install, works great, ViewTV has A+ customer service.
My husband purchased this antenna after we decided to "cut the cord" from our cable provider. Before choosing this antenna he tried some simple indoor antennas from the local big box store and even a powered indoor antenna, none of which we were truly happy with. Some worked good for a few channels and then not at all for other channels. Repositioning the antenna was always an inconvenience because as soon as you would move away from the TV the signal would change. We live about 30 miles West, Southwest of Chicago and NO antenna would pick up CBS (locally channel 2).After researching and reading review after review we purchased this antenna and mounted it to a mast in the attic space above our garage. After running coax from that spot to the basement of our home where the signal would be split to run to several rooms in the house, we discovered that we were not receiving any signal and the antenna was not receiving power. We contacted ViewTV via email from their website, had a response in less than an hour and they suggested it was the length of cable we added as an extension to the pre-attached coax. They were quick to get us a coax extension that was of the correct specifications. Once we swapped that in for the coax we used originally, we had power to the antenna and an HD picture on the screen! Thank you ViewTV, your customer service is top notch! The antenna was super easy to install and works great (if you use the correct coax cable). Our test to determine a 5 star review was did we get a picture on channel 2 (CBS)? Not only did we now receive CBS, DTV 2.1, there was a 2.2 and the tv signal monitor shows 78% strength and 100% quality. I would definitely recommend this antenna, other antennas maybe 20 channels with this antenna 84!

So for me this antenna works pretty well as advertised
I initially bought a Digiwave indoor antenna with a claimed range of 80 miles. I picked up 4 different PBS stations in HD. So I bought the WA-2708B. First I tried it indoors and picked up 6 stations. So I bought a parasol base with wheels that you can lock in place with your foot, along with a one inch diameter steel pipe that I bought at a hardware store for about $12. The pipe is about 4 to 5 feet high, and I stuck it in the parasol base. The antenna clip fits snug on the end of the pipe with the butterfly clips that come with the antenna. I placed the antenna on my balcony not even 1 foot from the wall and used the motor to point it. When I scanned for TV channels, I picked up 14 channels. Depending on the angle of the antenna, sometimes I picked up 16 channels. It would probably help if I could move the antenna closer to the balcony railing, but I live in a condo and the condo don't want to see it from the street. So I keep it close to balcony wall. So for me this antenna works pretty well as advertised. It's also not too big so as to attract attention. From afar it looks like an overhead lamp or a mosquito zapper machine or something. So the neighbors or condo board don't complain. I included a couple of picture. I should also mention the antenna snaps together in 5 minutes with no hassles. Also it's nice to have remote to change the angle. Hope this helps.

Picks up distant stations better than flat panel antennas.
I live over 30 miles from TV broadcast stations so I was pleased when this antenna brought in all 7 stations I was hoping to receive plus 43 more I wasn't expecting. I had tried the thin, flat, antennas that were more expensive but couldn't pick up the 7 stations I wanted without constantly losing the signal so this product was worth the price. I did have a problem with it right out of the box, the plug in power supply had no output power. I pulled apart the plastic shell on the supply and found the transformer had come dis-lodged from its socket points on the outlet blades. I plugged the transformer back in and it has been working ever since.

Here's the truth..
Product arrived on time but could have been easily damaged as the shipping label was slapped on the box and dropped in the mail, no shipping box or protection of any kind. None the less it made it to me in one piece. The antenna was very easy to assemble (no tools required) and everything snapped together. It sits on a 1 inch pole (not included) and is kept in place by a couple of wingnuts. The coaxial wire was too short for my location but it was no problem to add another to it.So the 150 miles... well unless its over a lake or prairie land don't expect anywhere near this number. With that being said I am getting (barely) channels from around 45-50 miles in a mostly forest location (with the antenna on a tower 40 feet above ground). Have a look at the tvfool website for your address, anything that is listed as green (indoor) or yellow (attic mount) you will probably receive. The channels I receive some are standard and some are HD so this will pickup both.As others have stated there is no indication on the set top box as to the direction of the antenna and its kind of a pain to aim. Basically if you don't have a line of sight to the antenna it's a matter of pressing the rotation button for a second and waiting then repeating until the channel comes in.Overall It does work very well, Have some realistic expectations on your channels and you will be happy with it, I know I am.

Good antenna receiving up to 15 channels in Gatineau. Glitch with remote control
Following installation, I was able to get up to 15 channels event if antenna is not installed yet on the roof. The Antenna remote control is built to select the direction of antenna rotation either CW or CCW but does not work as expected as you can never know witch direction the controler will make it turn. Would have been nice to have an indicator to know where the antenna direction is pointing.

Good value
Picks up stations well even distant. Rotator works well but is virtually useless because there is no way of knowing direction unless the antenna is visible while viewing. Otherwise good value for $50.

It works! Then a year later, it didn't.
It feels very cheaply made, right down to the supplied coaxial cable. It works very well though. I only have it a little over 20' in the air, in North Delta, BC, and I can get 20 channels with it. If you live in the Lower Mainland, you should be able to get all the local channels, plus a few out of Bellingham, WA. It's highly doubtful that you'll pick up any of the 4 major US networks though, unless you count PBS.Overall, I'm very happy with it. I guess I'll see how long it lasts.FYI - Home Depot sells 12' galvanized steel poles (1" Dia) for about $12.*Update*It lasted almost exactly a year from the day I bought it. Power supply was fine. The problem was in the antenna itself. No red LED status light, couldn't rotate or amplify a signal. Stone cold dead.

Don't waste your money, lasted only 24hrs before it died!
I bought this as a gift for my father for Christmas. He has a metal roof and we waited until the snow was gone before we felt comfortable to install it.It was actually easy to install and we spent more time deciding where to run the wire than actually doing any hard work.We immediately saw a marked improvement over the quality of the channels that with the old antenna were marginal, and received a few new ones we were unable to before. He was happy to be able to reposition it to get channels from another direction too. Here is where it all goes wrong, The antenna lasted only 24hrs. My dad watched tv for the first evening but never again. Now the control unit shows that the unit is rotating and it doesn't. Only one channel is received and it is all fuzzy. We checked the cables, all connections, and a voltmeter confirmed the power supply is working. This product is extremely disappointing, especially that it had a 4 star review..I am beyond the return window and I would not recommend this to anyone. Waste of money and time.
