Finding God's Will When It May Go Against Mennonite Beliefs
This is the third book in the Sommerfield Trilogy and follows Trina, Andrews neice from the second book, and her love of Graham and her passion for helping animals.Trina has always been an obedient daughter even when she didn't agree or want to do something asked of her, but recently she has felt a pulling to be something pleasing to God and believes her passion for helping animals is God's Will. Trina finds that she must attend college to fulfill her dream but her church doesn't permit schooling beyond 9th grade. Determined, she enrolls in GED classes to prepare for college behind her parents backs but feels the need to confide in her boyfriend, Graham. He is upset and doesn't believe this calling is God's will just Trina being defiant and doing what she wants. When Trina's guilt gets to her she confesses to her parents and faces the backlash. Trina wants to please her family and Graham, but feels to do so she must give up on her veterinarian goals to become the good daughter again and plan her marriage to only become a wife a mother with no hope of becoming more. When an accident occurs, Trina is forced to make some tough decisions. The book was really good and the storyline and characters easy to connect with. I could understand Trina's determination and worries, but also her sadness with being stuck. She had so many goals, but no options in which to pursue them. Like I said, the book was good but it did have some slow places. Also, each of these books in the trilogy could be read on their own without having read the others, but I read them back to back and it just helps me to feel closer to the people and their families and take their stories a little further with each book.

How I wish ...
How I wish that this book was NOT "The End" of this series! I fell in love with these characters, I'm sure you will too. It was fun seeing them interact with each other even when it wasn't "their" story and it brought a real depth to the characters ... Each story focused on an "outsider" whether he or she were not Mennonite or, perhaps they were, but they but didn't quite "fit" the traditional role of what they were "supposed" to want for their life and future. It was a joy to get away from THIS world and travel into theirs for awhile ... I would urge you to make some time in your hectic schedule to travel to Sommerfeld; spend some time with the people there and relax in this place that is IN the world but not OF the world

The best
This trilogy has been one of the best I have ever read. Every time in this last book that I settled down and thought I have it all thought out and knew what was coming I was completely dumbfounded and I was on the edge of my seat to get another jolt. You will really enjoy this highly recommended trilogy.

Great conclusion to trillogy
This is book three in the series and does not disappoint as sometimes happens when there are multiple books in the same story line. I definitely would read the books in order as each builds on the previous story.
