Good costume my grandson loves it

I bought my son the mask and tail from spirit and thought it was ridiculous they didn’t have a body suit so I went to Amazon. I was originally skeptical of the material being crappy and super thin/cheap. I am actually surprised that it’s as nice as it is. It’s not what I thought it would be, Halloween costumes are always super thin but this one is a bit thicker. I got the smallest size available which was a medium, my son is 6 years old and around 4 feet tall. I know he’s a size small so I was prepared to sew it. Upon having him try it on, I don’t need to sew it at all. It is a little big but he’ll be wearing shoes and it’ll keep the pant part up. It looks perfect on him!! The mask that came with had red eyes and the detail wasn’t there in the mask so we are going with the one I got from spirit but I do like the tail it came with, much thicker and more like a dragon tail. (As for the mask, you could probably dry brush white onto it if you want more detail and not just one solid color) The only issue is that the tail kind of hangs, it’s attached by Velcro and I know it’s because your child might need to sit down so the tail needs to be removable. However I do wish it was fixed on, that way it would look more like a real dragon tail. I bought the wings from Amazon as well, separately because let’s be honest the wings it comes with are a complete joke in my opinion. I don’t think there’s any way to fix the tail issue but I do love the costume. We went to a Halloween kid festival thing and everybody was complimenting my son on his costume. People wanted pictures of him and he’s going in the newspaper. He went on bouncy houses and ran around and his costume held up perfectly! No rips or anything! I highly recommend this costume. 10/10 the picture on Amazon does not do it justice, it is much better in person.

Son loves it. But for the price - I would expect more.

My son really wanted this costume for Halloween but I was leary to spend that much on a costume without seeing it because I've done that in the past and when we got them they were paper thin and terrible quality. Not this one! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality! My son wears size 8 clothes so I order the 8/10 and it fits great. There is enough room for him to wear warm clothes under it but it's not too big that it looks too baggy.

My daughter wanted to dress up as a dragon from Wings of Fire for book character day. She is a size 8 and on the skinnier side. The costume fit her well. There was Velcro on the wings that attached to the shoulder of the costume. This helped the wings stay in place. The tail was attached with only Velcro. We had issues with it staying attached. A safety pin would be helpful.The mask had elastic straps that attached in the back with Velcro. My daughter thought it was too tight and did not wear the mask.This is a great looking costume, I did not have high expectations and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and look. I would recommend this for someone looking for a dragon costume.
