I’ve never used this product or similar products before. My Jeep wrangler has a plastic overhead soundbar and I wanted to improve the quality of sound. This stuff worked better than I expectes. Cuts easy with scissors, was plenty flexible to get into tight spaces and stuck really well. I was disappointed with some aftermarket speakers I had added previously but this stuff made a world of difference. Sound is greatly improved. Will definitely purchase again.

I don't understand why some of these sound deadening products are so expensive. It's basically a piece of foil with some high density sticky rubber on the back. I've used some of the crazy expensive stuff in the past, and this is just as good. I had to replace the condenser fan on my heat pump, and decided to use this on some of the flat metal internal surfaces to quiet down rattling. This stuff is great for adding mass to thin metal. I would definitely buy this again.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well this worked. While our 4Runner is still not a quiet vehicle even after applying it, it did make a noticeable improvement in the noise levels. We consistently have the radio a few notches lower now than before the install.With This, you get 9 sheets of material with an overall weight of about 29 lbs. I did just the interior of my 4Runner doors (so inside the doors and stuck to the back of the exterior metal skin of the vehicle), the interior of the rear lift gate, the floor of the cargo area, and a bit in the rea fenders/wheel wells. I covered 70-80% of the area for each one of those and still only used a bit over 6 sheets of material.I applied this on a 75F day that was cloudy and the sheets were plenty sticky. Prior to installing the sheets, I did spray and clean down the surfaces I was going to stick these to (and let them dry). I used a texture roller to apply these and it was also TOTALLY worth it. The quilted pattern on these sheets makes it easy to see what you've pressed down onto the surface to guarantee a good bond. While I haven't had this out on a 100F and sunny day, I couldn't detect any smell or odor when putting these on.As I said above, after install, there was a noticeable drop in highway noise levels. In addition, these gave my doors a deeper "thud" when closing them. I think part of that is the extra weight to each door, but that more of that is just because that's how this material works. Given the price of this box ($60 at the time of this review) and how easy this was to apply (about 45 min a door, then 1.5-2 hours for the cargo area), I'd definitely recommend this as an easy upgrade to your ride. I may go back with the extra sheets I have left and add more to my doors-- but even with how things are now, it's a nice improvement for something we use every day.

I bought this stuff to sound-deaden all 4 doors of my 2018 VW Passat.I haven't installed it yet as I am waiting for Spring. It's a shame that I won't see it after I install it. It really looks nice and I think that it will work out just fine.
