Crocheted Bees, Bugs & Butterflies

Wonderful
This is a fantastic book however, in American DC actually means SC so if you are in America and you buy this book her patterns in America translate to double crochet, but England double crochet means single crochet so make sure as you’re making the bugs in this book if you’re in America, you’re doing it in single crochet stitches! Other than that it was wonderful. The only reason I noticed is because I started to double crochet a ladybird and realize the ladybird was really long and awkward, looking and then when I looked up the book it was made in the UK that’s when I realized the stitching I was doing was wrong.

Interesting and fun to make
Wish there were more creatures! Though this is a nice selction. May be a bit fiddly for new crocheters, but take some time and learn the techniques. Patience.

The book uses english crochet terms.
Finding the threads suggested should be interesting, the book was written using English crochet terms. The designs make it worth the trouble to track down the correct threads.

Clever Topic to learn more creative ways to crochet
I bought this book to learn to crochet bumblebees- which is the first pattern in the book. I’ve gotten some of the materials together but haven’t begun my project yet. I like the book in that it seems pretty easy to modify the patterns - I need to make different bumblebee species. Mostly I just love it because it’s a glimpse into doing so much more with crochet than just granny squares!

Everyone has a favorite and wants at least two.
The first thing I had to do was take the book to my local Staples to have it spiral bound with protective covers front and back. It's much easier to following instructions when the book stays open where you want it.

Needs better packaging
The book came with a damaged spine that’s warped on one corner. The packaging was basically a hardy paper lunch bag, which came open.Book itself is of good quality with plenty of pictures, but beware that is not just crochet, some twisting wire knowledge is needed to not get frustrated as most of these require twisting thread on a wire for the legs, but this makes them more posable and tiny!Overall, book is great! Packaging is horrible! Book is valued at $24.99 on dust cover. I paid about $21 after shipping and handling plus taxes. Priced at $15 before all those extra charges.

Maravilloso
Este libro me encanta, sin lugar a dudas es diferente a lo qué hay en el mercado, porque nadie se ha aventurado a sacar patrones de insectos, además las técnicas que usan son diferentes y complementan el estilo. Súper recomendable!
