I love this shirt/jacket, and there’s only thing I would improve upon, if I could.
I love this shirt/jacket. It’s perfect for just kicking around the house on those chilly winter days. Warm enough to go outside in cold weather and get the mail. The arms are smooth inside, and the rest is so soft, fluffy, and warm. I love the feel of the inside material, even though is 100% polyester. The outer shell is really nice. 100% cotton! There are two nice large hand pockets. Love that it has pockets. But...This is my one and only thing I would improve upon, if I could. The pocket entrance location in my option is too far back, and doesn’t go all the way to the tip of the front corners. So, I can’t use my hands inside my pocket to wrap the sides around the front of my body. I know this sounds really minor, and it is, but it still bugs me a little every time I wear it. The picture shows my hand outside the pocket and where the pocket ends at the end of my fingers. The other photo shows the “too far back” pocket location. It would be more comfortable if the pocket started more forward and it went all the way to the end of the shirt corner. But don’t get me wrong. I love it. You won’t be disappointed; it’s truly awesome!!

Cozy
This is a warm flannel lined with lambswool except sleeves. Sleeves lined with quilted fabric. Good for 20-30° with no wind. Great fall and early spring jacket. Long enough to cover as it reaches to hips. Side pockets and chest pockets.

So soft and comfortable… but size up
Excellent quality and fit prior to washing… but too small after washing. I washed the flannel in cold/warm water and it went in the dryer because it is thick and would take days to hang dry. Now the sleeves are too short and the fit is too snug over other clothing… because this is a type of “jacket to be worn over other things”. It fit perfectly before washing… I suggest sizing up if you intend to wear this flannel over other items of clothing. Love this otherwise!

fleece lined fiasco a silver lined story
Picture this. florescent red and green lights loom in the foyer. A half eaten slice of pumpkin pie rests on the table, as you begin to scrape another piece that you tell yourself will be “the last bite.” Suddenly you remember, it’s time to check prime day deals. Hours press hard into the night as you frantically pan through deals of useless products you probably don’t need hoping you find a mere speck of a deal that will have made your investment worth it. Then you see, something you’ve marginally desired- a fleece lined flannel. The most impressive part is that it’s 40% off.Without hesitation you add to your dimly filled cart. The rush of dopamine feels as soft as you anticipate the flannel will as well. One minor detail will escape you though until weeks later. After receiving the flannel and wearing it several times, you notice that it feels, well, a little tight. “Perhaps, I have gained weight?” You think “have I officially grown out of mediums now?” You say. Suddenly it hits you. Tight around the hips. Flattering on the chest. This is a woman’s sized jacket. How could you be so naïve. Amidst the idea of the deal you failed to see the clear warnings.Thankfully this fleece lined fiasco has a silver lined outcome- perhaps my wife would like a new jacket?

Boxy, short sleeves, fleece lining bigger than flannel outside
It is nice and warm, but flattering it is not. The materials seem nice and the fleece and flannel are both soft. I also like the colors. However, that's pretty much where the "likes" end. It's boxy. I ordered a Medium and I'm glad I didn't order the large (broad shoulders fit, 36C chest), it would have been huge (except the length of the sleeves). The body is very boxy, not fitted at all. I can wear it over other layers with no problem, so that's good. The sleeves are several inches too short, ridiculously short. I'm 5'4", so not a tall gal, but I don't wear petite in anything. My pant inseam is 32", so for being short I have slightly longer than average appendages. This disappoints me the most, short sleeves for something that is supposed to keep you warm? Uh uh. Also, and this isn't a gripe, just a note, the inside of the arms are not lined with fleece, but with a quilted, probably polyester/cotton material. It allows you to slip your arms more easily into the jacket if you're wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath. My other gripe has been echoed in the reviews already. The fleece lining hangs out the back because it's been cut too large for the flannel outside. Makes it look cheap and old even though I haven't even washed it yet. I doubt after washing, it will look any better, likely worse. Because it is so big, if you try and move it so it doesn't hang out the back, it just bunches up in other places. Annoying to say the least. For the money, I would not purchase this again, however, I kept it because I'm cold and didn't have many warm things to throw on. If you're petite, shaped like a box, and don't mind the extra fleece hanging out, go for it.Update 2.20.2019: Still haven't washed it, now has a hole in one of the pockets. I randomly found a Carhartt flannel sherpa lined jacket the other day and since it was on sale I bought it. The quality of the Carhartt is far, far superior in every way to the Whitetails jacket. It's slightly fitted, much warmer, sleeves are long enough, has snaps instead of buttons, actual lined pockets so your hands are still warm...now I wish I hadn't spent the money on this item. I do really like the color though!

Warm work jacket
It is warm and great for everyday. The color is a little dull, but still nice. I use it for everyday use, you know when you don't want to worry about getting it dirty. It washed well. The sleeves are a little short which is something I don't normally have an issue with.

Cozy and Seasonal
Bought small - fit perfectly, but a tad snug in the shoulders. Can't wait to wear it once we get more seasonal weather in PA (currently in the 80s when it should be in the 70s)

Super warm and comfy
Got this for my wife in an XS. She loves it! Warm, soft, comfy. She’s always cold so wears this in the yard in the spring and fall while working. Keeps her toasty and looks great.

Order one size up if you plan to layer under neither.
The jacket was wonderful quality. However, it was a bit snug so had to return.
