It's $40 quality and everything I need it for.
I got this for my Alvarez 12 string, hoping just to get something that could carry some bass and not make too much background noise, and this delivered. If you're looking for precision acoustic replication, you'll probably have to fork over the cash that that tech requires, but this can make a great sound plugged into something adjustable. The treble on its own is a little strong, but plugged into my Line 6 I can just boost the bass to level it out. With that and some medium drive on a clean setting and I get the full sound I am looking for. I play a very metal style, so palm muting, low notes, and any percussive tones are very clear, harmonics don't last any longer than normal. Sounds fantastic adding effects to it, it's a friggen beast on heavy distortion. As full a sound as my Ibanez electric, though it has the reverberating tone an acoustic would. I'm sure plenty of brands will "get the job done," and while I have no experience with others, this is great. I am very satisfied.

What size sound holes is this supposed to fit? Mine is 85 mm and I can't get it to fit. Too big. Manufacturer really needs to include size in its Amazon description. It is very irritating to get something that I have to return.

Sounded good to me through a regular electric guitar amp
Works well for me. I used this to play along with a band with my acoustic guitar. Sounded good to me through a regular electric guitar amp. I've also used this with a rocksmith cable to use the guitar learning app Yousician, and it's worked perfectly there too. Install was easy, took about five minutes, no harm to the guitar at all. Overall very pleased with the product.

Great sound, easy install.
I was really surprised at how good this pickup sounds. It's a little too bright for me on the 1 through 3 strings, but other than that it's great. I get about the same hum as I do with my P-90's which is nominal. It only took about 10 minutes to install. The biggest hurdle was getting the input jack secured to the body strap mount. I have a Yamaha FG700S acoustic guitar and the hole opening is about 4 inches. So it fit like a champ.

This installed in my standard size dreadnaught acoustic guitar in less than 5 minutes and I could not be happier. Never used another brand of acoustic pickup so I can't compare but this pickup work perfectly with my 5 watt tube amp normally used for my electric guitar. I can run it through all of my effects pedals, most importantly the looper. Benefits of which can not be overstated for me, an intermediate level player with nobody to jam with. Now I am not limited to an electric guitar to lay down chord progressions on the looper that I can then jam to using either guitar!!Buy it!!

Easy to install, sounds great.
Very easy to install. You don't need to be a tech-guru. Everyone can handle a screwdriver. And you don't even need to take the strings off. I was amazed, when I heard my acoustic guitar through the pickup in my amp. Very nice tone.
