My wife and I spend a lot of time visiting friends in the Abruzzo region of Italy. I think it's the best food in all of Italy. When I saw this lady on the Rachel Ray show, I had to have it. It has all the great regional recipes from that area of Italy. I've had several Abruzzo cookbooks but they were all in Italian. This makes life so much easier when it comes to cooking this food. After I got it, I bought two copies for my Italian friends from Abruzzo who live in the states. They loved it.

I was slightly disappointed, but I know a lot of hard work and love and personal history went into making this book.My disappointment mainly is that it is paperback and not a hardback copy. I spent a lot of money (to me it was a lot)for them and really wish they were hard backs. I bought two and will giveone to my daughter for Christmas and keep one. I don't know if she will use it. It is a good book to add to anyone's cookbook collection. I like the dessert section.I saw Elisa and her loving son on Kathie Lee and Hoda, and couldn't wait to order it. I'm sure it will all be delicious! It all looked delicious in the pictures.

This is the best Italian cookbook I have seen published. It's the real deal and has authentic dishes that would not be found in present day Italian restaurants. The incredible recipes are exactly what my grandmother made and a lot of those recipes have been lost because they were never documented. Elisa's life story is also part of the book and provides context about her struggles and how she sustained through bad times. Her personal story provides a nice touch that aligns with her recipes through the book. it's always great to see an amazing book coming from my hometown too. Thanks Elisa for publishing the book!

I have a close Italian friend who also owns an authentic Italian restaurant. Everything at the restaurant is made from scratch and just like in Italy. My Italian friend was disappointed with some of the recipes in the book. He claimed the dishes were Americanized. Minus one star based on professional witness testimony.

Received quickly - on time - and in great condition from seller. The book itself is a beautiful read, very heartwarming stories. Wish I was more confident in the area of bread and pasta making - the recipes in these sections seem advanced but I may give them a try. The meatballs are delicious and most tender I've ever made!

Loved loved Italian Moms!!! My Grandfather was also from Abuzzo Italy so I really enjoyed reading about Elisa's childhood. The recipes are Wonderful and the story of how the book came to be was so inspiring. Thank you for having the passion and dream to make this book...p.s I also have a Chitarra pasta maker that she features in the book and have never found a cookbook with it in there. Thank you Elisa!!!!
