Fixed my snow blower
In most of the reviews that I saw on-line, people generally use this belt as a replacement for a table saw or some other stationary constant speed application.I had an old Simplicity snow blower with a 4L V belt that was used to engage the auger. I ordered the belt before I had read on-line that these belts shouldn't be used for clutching applications, at least that is the recommendation for the similar red colored version of this belt made by Fenner.I saw no such warning from Jason Industrial the manufacturer of this belt so I decided to give it a try.So far it worked well during a relatively light snow fall we had this week. The last belt snapped ripping the top of the belt with the cords in two, and it was a farm duty Kevlar cord belt.Time will tell, how long this will last, but if it does break again, I have spare segments to replace any that get damaged. The other thing that I like about these is that the cord runs through each segment so it may be stronger then a standard belt, again we will see.I've used these belts before on my woodworking power tools and had good luck with them, they do reduce vibration significantly and I've had no failures with them.Update: A couple of snow falls later and the belt is still holding it's own. The last snow involved some heavy slush at the end of the driveway it it powered through it.

Apparently a link belt is a link belt, and that's a good thing
This item is pretty indistinguishable from other link belts I've bought. I'm pretty sure they're all made in the same factory from the same materials. Normally I buy them at Harbor Freight, but I saw this 5-footer on Amazon for about the same price HF charges for a 4-footer. I figured if I ever ended up buying 2-3 of these I'd have enough extra links to make another belt. The belt is very durable and works great. It cuts down the vibration on my band saw, which is certainly a welcome change. I highly recommend link belts in power tools anywhere a V-belt is currently being used. You'll be amazed how much smoother your tool runs. I've used them in table saws, band saws, homemade grinders, and jointers. Highly recommended.

It works!!!
I received this and put it on my old delta 36-465 today. There really is a difference using this belt. There's a whole lot less vibration for sure, especially at startup.I've read of people having a hard time removing links, or putting the belt together.I had zero problems using a lineman's pliers to do the job.I hope it lasts a good long time as I feel it was rather expensive.People say it makes your saw quieter, and I suppose that's true because there's less vibration throughout the machine, but I believe there's more air moving around noise due to all the little flaps on the belt rushing around.Hats off to whomever invented this.I'm willing to bet he spent at least one summer at camp making the leather belts that go together in much of the same fashion. It's only been a day, but so far, I'm very impressed with this product.

Work well and keeps your equipment quiet
I've reviewed these link belts before. I use them on most of my belt driven machinery in the shop. They are easy to assemble and adjust. You no longer have to measure and buy different length V belts. They do stretch so you may have to remove a link after some operating time. The one thing I wanted to add here is that they are all virtually the same no matter the manufacturer, so don't be fooled by some of the hype. Find the least expensive seller.

Time-saver on difficult belt assemblies. A+++
I stock all three sizes I need on my farm. I have not had to run for a specific belt in years.. Replaces any standard v belt in minutes. Assemblies that are time or technically a hassle to disassemble to install a traditional belt are the perfect application for these segmented belts. You install on tractor or tool by putting halves together on unit if desired. Or you can mount in a traditional way if easier by assembling on workbench. They tend to always need to settle in and then need tightening. Often a few times before they stay tight. Not an unreasonable tradeoff. buy the jason belts as they seem to have a little better fit and finish.

So much easier to install for certain applications.
These belts are perfect if you have a through-shaft into another device like a hydraulic pump mounted in front of the tractor frame. To replace with a standard belt you'd have to remove the pump and that can be a nightmare. Had this installed in less than an hour and it works great. Also, most belts are now imported and they are not nearly as precise as they used to be. If you're driving a squirrel cage blower for example the non-uniformity of the belt even though slight will result in a low frequency "thump" that will drive you crazy if you have to listen to it constantly. In my case it's a large evaporative cooler.

Runs smoothly with no wobble. Too tall for some applications.
I bought this to run an arbor grinder, but the belt is too tall to fit between the pulley and the top of the arbor. I installed it on my table saw instead. When you leave a drive belt sitting without running it, it will become "firm" and will forever have a wobble after that. This belt does not have that "memory" problem because the individual links are always movable, so these run very smoothly. But this adds height to the belt, so check your clearance.

belts are not new or in original packaging
I have used acculink belts for years and love them. I've even ordered some off amazon before. I recently ordered one, and it arrived in an unmarked plastic bag (no packaging, no sign of the manufacturer, size, or install instructions). It was also clearly worn. Upset, i requested a replacement from amazon and they sent me another...unlabeled...worn..belt. Attaching a photo. Every link shows a nice clean surface on the edge except where the link would touch the pulley. This part is white, fuzzy, and worn. I have requested a return and will buy elsewhere.
