6" Aluminum Disc Master Lap Base Plate for Diamond Flap Lap Wheel/Abrasive Wheel, 1/2" Arbor Spindle Grinding Pad

500 grit disc mounted either up against the existing stone wheel(cheapest and it works) or buy the aluminum base disc like I did. This polishes the tungsten very fine after grinding on 320grit on the other side. This product gives amazing results for very little money.

Nowhere in the listing of this product does it state that it has a hollow back. Not only is it a cheap move, it limits what type of platform you can use it on. I wanted to use these on a 6in spindle platform but I can’t because it’s hollow and there’s nothing in contact with the spindle. Totally deceptive marketing and the seller needs to make it clear, or mention it at all, for that matter.

I ordered two of these with intentions of attaching an arbor and using both sides while mounted in a drill press. From what I could determine in the description and in their photos, these discs appeared to be flat on both sides. However, when I received them they were hollowed out on one side - probably to reduce weight. They appear to be of very good quality, but had they shown pictures of both front and back or mentioned it in the description, it would have saved me the hassle of returning them and waiting for an alternative brand that IS two sided.

It is not a balanced disk, it vibrates so much that knocks the unit off the table.

Bought this to specifically grind tungsten welding rods tips to prep for welding.I put this on a 1/2 arbor bench grinder.Trued it with a lever dial test Indicator as best as this equipment can achieve.Overall, well pleased with the result. Much quieter than using a angle grinder.

Removes saw marks quickly.
