Acts like a protective sheild for my Omnipod 5
I usually wear my Omnipod 5 unit on my waist right about my belt-line. The pod has a tendency to get snagged on my pants or jacket and this little soft plastic "bumper" gives just enough protection to avoid that. I use a second sticky patch over it and the pod and the only issue is that then it is hard to remove without some help. (I use a liquid adhesive solvent to soften the over-patch and then it comes right off. ) These pods are too important (to a diabetic) and too expensive to risk having one get pulled off before its time.

Love these!
We have covers like this for both the Omnipod & the Dexcom. Our son is very active & kept getting his diabetes supplies ripped off (not the whole thing sticker included, only the device where the dexcom or omnipod's body is sort of detached from the sticker) something would catch on that & it would come off. With these covers nothing has ever been ripped off. They are comfortable and stay on & protect your supplies. You can buy multiple colors so that they match any sticker you might put.

Patches don’t cover it.
I’m not sure why this is so bulky, but I can’t find a decent patch to cover it and keep it attached. I have the newer version with the solid edging but it made it uncomfortable so I trimmed it off and it helped a little but it’s still too big for patches to cover. I have the dexcom G6 protector and it works wonderful, but the Omnipod 5 protector I’m having a hard time finding a patch that’s compatible and holds it in place.

Almost perfect!
I was diagnosed with T1D at the ripe age of 46. After some time on MDI I chose to go on a pump. The only pump I considered was the Omnipod, because I didn't want a tube. I'm a runner, and also clumsy (lol) and had started having so many issues with leaking pods, especially on my thighs, that I was about to give up on them. Lo and behold, enter this little miracle. An overpatch alone didn't solve my issues, but this has virtually made my leaky pods a thing of the past.In fairness, I'd rather give 4.5 stars but that's not an option. The reason for the slight ding is that for me, the "feet" need to be the teeniest bit longer. Sometimes, depending on placement area, they tend to slip out from under the patch. I usually only note this on my stomach, though. The other issue is the white plastic will discolor as it picks up dyes from clothing. However, I recently ordered direct from the company and multiple colors are available and the feet on the new ones are slightly different. They do tend to wear/stretch after a while (I ordered my first one about 3 months ago) so I think rotation and replacement are necessary.Highly recommend these and as a bonus, you are supporting a small business.

Game Changer!!
This product has been a game changer! It has worked for both my OmniPod Dash and OmniPod 5 pods. It helps keep the pod’s adhesive from folding during placement, as well as making the pod easier to grip when placing. It does require slightly larger pod covers however, but I use the Nuanchu waterproof OmniPod adhesive patches and it works great (I just have to cut off the small center strip of the patch for a better fit).Overall, helps so much with pod longevity! Accidental bumps are much less likely to dislodge the cannula, and if I end up needing to replace an adhesive patch before the pod is ready to be changed, I can just remove the adhesive with the grip and save the pod.

Sizing is worse with simpatch than old versions
I like the quality of this, it’s comfortable and holds the pod well, but biggest issue for me was that it is too large to use with simpatch adhesives. There isn’t enough room for the adhesive to hold onto the skin anymore unless you stretch it out by holding onto the patch (but then you cause the adhesive to be less sticky)

Smartest invention ever!
When my son was first started to use the dexcom 2 years ago, he would hit on something or catch it and it would rip off. Or he would put the protective adhesive cover on and when it would peel or fray, we couldn’t just change it without it taking the whole dexcom out. I went looking for solutions and found this version for dexcom. He can not live with out it. So when he started using the Omnipod just recently, I knew I had to find something similar. And I did! This product! Same simple concept, just snap it over and then put on the adhesive patch. Easy to change the patch if we need to and it protects it if it hits somewhere or anything. I have bought a few because he’s 13 and for some reason seems to lose things, like a typical 13 year old boy lol
