Excellent value! Easy assembly
This door is a fantastic buy! We are in the process of a small bathroom remodel. To gain some space, we removed the cased door which opened into the bathroom taking up valuable floor space. We plan to hang this barn door on a track outside the bathroom. Instant character! We had originally ordered a pre-made door at nearly four times the cost. However, that door was going to take weeks to receive. I could not risk it not arriving in time for our contractor or risk it arriving damaged and then having to wait even longer for a replacement. So, on to Amazon Prime I went to look for something that could arrive faster. I never even considered a DIY door until I read the reviews and kept hearing how easy it was to assemble. Soooo.....I ordered one and boy am I glad I did! Not only was it easy (I did it by myself without my husband's help) but it is gorgeous! I bought the espresso stained finish. Excellent quality and I saved almost $500 doing this myself in about 30 minutes. Here are a couple of important things that no one really mentions....at least not that I could find. - On both sides of the door, there will be three visible gold screws inset into a predrilled hole (at top, center, and bottom). There are no caps included to cover this. Easy fix though. Just use some stainable wood filler to fill the holes. Once dry, stain it using the small bottle of touch up stain that is included in the box. - The diagonal slats of wood used to create the arrow design is installed using 6 black screws per slat. So 12 black screws on the face of the door and 12 on the back. I personally did not want to use the screws at all because I felt it cheapened the finished look of the door. So I used Flex Seal (it's what I had on hand and from personal use know it is strong and quick to grab hold) and I simply glued the slats in place. To make sure all slats were completely flush and laying flat while adhering, I placed some weights (dumbbells) on top for about an hour.I almost never write reviews but I was so impressed with the value of this door I had to! Don't hesitate to buy this. You won't regret it. I will try to upload a picture once the door is installed.

like the natural color
the wood is pretty, seems a good quality and wasn't very difficult to assemble the door. you will have to purchase your hanging kit separately and may need two people to hang it once it's assembled but it turned out nice.

Excellent Barn Door
My daughter and her fiance moved back into the downstairs and we wanted to add a door to what was just a walk through to add privacy and give them "their own space". I researched barn doors and read so many reviews from different sources. The first thing that struck me was how expensive they were at the big box stores and the reviews were terrible! I finally chose the Belleze based on the reviews and the price. I am so glad I chose this door! I could not be happier! It came within a week. It was so easy to assemble, my daughter and I put it together in about an hour. It did have an interesting odor at first, but it faded after airing out for a few days and once we stained it, it went away completely. I would recommend sanding before staining. We didn't and I wish we had. It is smooth out of the box, but the stain really pulls up the grain so it is a bit rougher than I would like. We didn't add the diagonal pieces, but may at a later date. This is an absolutely beautiful door! It's very sturdy! The price was right! I just wish we had a place to put another one. I would definitely buy again!

Defective part, good customer service. Sturdy door.
The door is fairly easy to put together, but it required a bit of DIY on my end. Some issues I encountered:1) The bottom horizontal slat did not have dowel holes drilled on one side. I asked customer service to send me a new piece. They opted to settle for a $30 credit, which I accepted. So, I drilled the holes myself. I don't own a drill press, and I think I did an OK job measuring and centering, but the door was just hard to get together after that. I'm not sure this was the root cause. Everything is so precisely measured, it's hard to tell what was off.2) After getting it together one side vertical slat DIY was about 1/16" off (not flush w/ the top or bottom) This was not the side I had to drill myself. This wasn't a big deal, but it meant accounting for that offset when mounting the hardware to the top, so that it would hang level. Not ideal, but not terrible.3) The cross pieces did not align. They were slightly too big, so I had to plane them down to fit. Again, not ideal, but not terrible.4) This isn't the fault of the door company so much as a failure of the Amazon recommendation system. I purchased the "frequently bought" hanging system: SMARTSTANDARD 6.6ft Heavy Duty Sturdy Sliding Barn Door Hardware Kit. The problem is, the instructions are very precise, and they all rely on the fact that the holes are drilled so many inches from the top of the door (the top hole being 2", I believe... maybe, I might be wrong here). The problem is that drilling in this location, you come dangerously close to the screw that holds the side panel on. So to play it safe, I went a little higher. This resulted in having to do a lot of planning / sketching / calculating to be sure where to mount the header board. I did Okay. My door hange about 3/16" off of the floor. They recommend 3/8. As a result the roller guide hardware I purchased separately will not fit under the door. So, that's another problem I have to solve. Again, not really the fault of the door, so this doesn't affect the rating. It's just a heads up. I might have been able to drill exactly where they suggested and been fine. I didn't want to take that risk.
