I like this product a lot now that I am able to clear up more room off the bed by using it to transport my rod up and horizontally. This help protect the rod from damage because nothing can fall on it during transport. It's very easy to install and light. The rubber band secure the front of the rod keeping it from bouncing off the holder and it's easy to put on and take off. You can definitely carry more than 8 rod if you try the horizontal method, there's plenty of room on each holder to fit two (1) piece rod. It doesn't get in the way of my passenger.What I dislike about this is that the bars are a little too short, it would be nice to have just a few more inches or make it extendable and collapsible. I will probably in the near future get a longer bar at the hardware store but right now it seems to be ok.The added bar in the back is just a extendable shower curtain rod, this setup work very well in my Subaru Crosstrek.

Installed in a matter of minutes, Great for the front part of the rods holds everything in place. Perfect fit on nice pieces are supplied. I used a wooden down tosupport rods up out of the way.
