Achla Designs 125-0011 Curved Backless, Natural Bench, Oiled Finish

I purchased two of these curved benches to replace a couple of lesser quality curved seats in an outdoor elliptical garden area. The originals were 18 years old and had rotted despite teak oil maintenance. The wooden seat stays could not be replaced. The design of the Achla benches is better in that the wooden members could possibly be repaired or replaced much more readily. The hardware is of very good quality. The wood is quite solid and looks great! Assembly is simple. Packaging was excellent and I was particularly impressed that the corner bolts had protective plastic sleeves to prevent damage to the threads. Well done!

Would have given it 5 stars but were a few spots on the seat that were unfinished and slightly rough. I'll put a coat of Spar varnish over the entire bench. That should fix the problem.

I placed my 2 benches around my backyard tree although I think 3 would have been perfect 4 my half circle. They are sturdy and my husband put them together in minutes. The color matches the brick of my house which was a super plus. I wish they were a little less pricey, but I LUV MY BENCHES!!

They initially looked good. But after only a few weeks, the benches are moldy. We have to throw them out. Don’t buy! Complete waste of money.

I got this bench to go against a wall in front of a fire pit. It is the perfect size and color. After just 3 weeks outside in the elements, it is pretty much falling apart. There are dark mold stains and now I have another that I haven't put together and am thinking this is just not a good product. I am now going to have to do a lot of work to remove mold and use a deck paint or stain on it to see if I can use it a while. Pretty disappointing! Wouldn't recommend this for outside.

Really happy with this bench! We got two of them. They are great quality, very sturdy, beautiful solid wood. They look nice enough that we plan to use them indoors around our round dining table when we have a lot of guests over so that we can fit extra people, as well as outdoors around the ends of our oval outdoor table, and by the fire pit.

Nice outdoor bench for a fire pit or deck. Be Aware, the color is quite a bit darker than it is depicted in the photos. I was expecting a light color to match our other light outdoor pieces but it is not light. It’s medium to dark.
