Hobby Twin RC Car Motor Cooling Fans - Metal Cover Heatsink Fit for 1/8 1/7 RC Car 40mm 42mm Brushless Motors

The first thing I noticed when I installed it; it would not power up. Before I would decide to return, I crossed the wires, the fans turned on. I had to strap it down with a zip-tie and had to use a dermal to cut away a piece of aluminum for the screw that tightens the motor. Other than that, it works great, keeps the motor cool, and has not had a thermal shut down even in 105 Texas Heat. The sound is a little loud but sounds awesome. Have gotten compliments on it while at my son's races.

This setup works very well on my Arrma Kraton 6s. Keeps the motor temps down. A lot of people say the fans are loud, but I like the way they sound. One of the wires on my fan broke off well over a month after I bought it. I contacted the seller and seller responded immediately. Seller was very friendly and shipped me out new fans which I received in a couple days. I only asked for one fan and received a new pair of fans with new hardware and carbon fiber covers. With this type of customer service you can’t go wrong. Super happy with them.

I ordered the two fans mounted to a heat sink and the description and certain pictures say that it will fit 40 or 42mm diameter motors. According to the other reviews people with spektrum 6s motors which are 40mm say it fits great, I have an erevo 2.0 with the stock 2200kv Traxxas 6s motor which is 40mm but has small heat sinks making it 42mm and its not even close to fitting. It’s disappointing because the fans themselves work great! But I’ll get another heat sink that fits to mount them to or put it on a different car. Would give 5 starts to the fans themselves

Update: Vendor sent me fans, updated to 5 stars due to great customer service.Initial review:Product seems to be OK, except the fans both died after about 20 minutes.First one died in the first battery, then the 2nd fan quit working by the 2nd battery.Really decent when it was installed and fired up the first time but it sucks the fans already crapped out.Hopefully can get a replacement set and give the product review what it deserves.

I drove my kraton 6s with the fans one night and had no issues. Fans ran perfect. I turn my car off, leave the battery in, go to sleep. Wake up 8 hours later. I spend 2 hours working on my other rc car, suddenly I hear the sound of electricity buzzing. I run to where the car is and right as I turn the corner, the car has flames coming from it.I shouldn't have left my batteries plugged in but at the same time, those fans shouldn't have caught fire. I will never purchase these fans again.Keep in mind ONLY the fan wires caught fire. Nothing else did

These fans are super strong. Fit very well and are super loud. I don't mind how loud they are, in fact I like it. Too bad that one of them took the old dirt nap about a month in. My local hobby shop sells similar ones cheaper than Amazon but I thought the comments would push me in the right direction but I guess you get what you get. Not super upset about that one doesn't work because the one that does work is still putting out so much airflow. Hope this helps some people!

The media could not be loaded.  I love the sound of these fans! They are loud and let me know they're moving air. Put these into my 6s swapped Arrma Mojave 4s and they keep things cool. Better than the stock fan. See more on my channel.

Some fabricating was necessary only due to retrofitting the motor into a car it’s not supposed to be in

Hab den Lüfter auf meinem Arrma Kraton 6s montiert.Die Lüfter sind recht laut, aber der Motor bleibt auch nach dem bashen kalt.So ein Lüfter sollte schon ab Werk drauf sein.Bin sehr zufrieden damit, klare Kaufempfehlung.

Der Kühler ist an sich gut, über die Leistung kann ich nicht meckern. Hab ich den bei Kraton 6S angesetzt, mit separat gekauftem Wärmeleitungspad hält der Kühler perfekt am Motor und tut was er soll. Mein Problem war dass einer der Fans hatte von Anfang an einen wackeligen Kontakt. Wenn ich dieses Problem nicht hätte, würde ich sicher fünf Sterne geben.

Fans are loud, because they move a lot of air for their size and it's exactly what you want.Very satisfied.
