Perfect for Winter, Sleeps Hot in Summer
The sheets are soft and have a great color and cut. I own both cotton and microfibre sheets and I personally think cotton is better all round, it breathes better and softens with each wash. Microfibre is much cheaper ($40 for good microfibre, $200 for good cotton) and has many great qualities for bedsheets. These sheets come in very handy during winter, they aren't porous in nature like cotton and therefore don't breathe as well, keeping the warmth in. It can feel hot to stifling in summer, fantastic and warm in winter. These sheets are a lovely white (not cream, not off white). I firmly believe white is a staple sheet for any bedroom. I use my navy cotton sheets as often as possible and use these while the cotton sheets are at the laundry. The fitted sheet is a perfect fit for my cal king (12 and a half inches). The loose sheet leaves a lot of excess for tucking and a comfortable fit. The pillows are the only fit problem as they are rather loose on a standard well-stuffed king-sized pillow. As you can see in the pictures, even on my denser, firm pillow, it's a little loose and doesn't look as smart as I'd like. These sheets are easy to clean, very pretty and all round great. I own two more sets of these in queen for the guest bed. I will definitely purchase these again for all guest beds (including a daybed I have), the quality and price just can't be beat!

Musky smell transferred to clothes in the wash + pilling = DISAPPOINTED!
When I first opened the item, it was wrapped between two pieces of cardboard to keep it's neat square shape in the plastic package. (It seems kind of superfluous since it's already in a tightly sealed bag.) When I furled it to remove the cardboard, it immediately gave off a musky, old library book smell (the bad kind, with hint of poop). Weird, but I figured with a wash, it would clear it up, right? Right, nbd.CUT TO: TWO washes later ...The sheets still smell like it, AND the smell transferred to my clothes in the dryer. I've literally never had this happen before. I'm equal parts curious, impressed, and concerned.Aside from the smell, after the first wash, the sheets started pilling. One. Wash. Needless to say, the second wash didn't make things better.Frankly, I'm not sure what the issue is. I purchased this item because I tried out a family member's set, which were super comfortable. Although, I was suspicious when I saw that there were 34K reviews, most of which were overwhelmingly positive. I wish I could gif a Hercules-disappointed meme into this purchase. I was really looking forward to gifting these to my mom. Instead, I have to do the one thing I hate doing for online purchases: Find a way to return the item.

Not Top-of-the-Line Linens - BUT really great for the colors and feel!
I bought a set of the Clara Clark last summer for my son and when he said he liked them decided to try a set for myself. What attracted me to this very inexpensive line was the softness of the sheets and their bright cheerful colors. I have a linen closet filled with Frette and Christian Fischbacher high-end linen right now which are perfectly fine, but the comfort and colors are what peaked my interest. Most of my highest thread count EC sets are VERY heavy in weight and the mattress drops aren't deep enough for my various beds. My husband suffers from plaque psoriasis on his elbows and knees which is the reason I started purchasing high thread count sheets which ended up being not as soft or silky as his skin condition needs.Since buying my first set of the inexpensive Clara Clark king sheets I have since purchased 3 more sets in mix and match very colorful colors for my own bed. My husband LOVES these sheets and he is sleeping much better now as the softness doesn't snag on his rough elbows/knees. I have also purchased additional sets as gifts for friends and they also have commented on what wonder colorful sheets these are.I give them a five star rating not because they are top of the line luxury sheets (I do know the difference) and would never compare Clara Clark sheets to the basic quality of the high-end linen I have purchased in the past - but my 5-stars is based on their softness, color and of course the pricing PLUS they give a larger range of color to my bedrooms. In one of my guest rooms I used the lovely purple set and then found the matching Clara Clark curtains & valances to match. Then I found the reversible duvet cover with matching shams in the same purple. The duvet reverses to Navy.AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF WASHING They are still just fine with no problems and I still adore these sheets. I purchased sets for all my friends (and employees) for Xmas this year and they have given nothing but positive feedback on them. Two of my friends are giving the pink & lavender sets to their kids for Valentine's Day - how sweet.

Too much lint!
I usually really love love love Clara Clark sheets. I had always bought the 1500 count. This time I tried the 1800. What a mess. When I washed them for the first time, I noticed that there was so much link after drying them. I thought it was odd, but forgot about it. That is until I woke up the next day. There was so much pilling. Not the kind that is stuck to the sheets like cheap sheets. It was more like lint. I assume it was from me tossing and turning during the night, rubbing against the sheets. Now every morning it is there.I am going to go to a website online that I used to order from and see if there sheets do the same thing.

Beware!
Updated- I have to update my review from 5 stars to one. I'm so, so disappointed in what happened to both the orange & blue sheet set after 1 wash! The orange set has pulls & bunches that make it look like I washed them with a thorny rose bush. The blue set came out the same way, plus the top & bottom sheet are no longer the same color. My washer is less than a year old & I have never had issue with washing delicates. Not that sheets should be delicate...plus the sheets were washed alone just in case they're color bled some. I was shocked when I pulled them out of the wash! They're still soft & still attractive at first glance, but I wouldn't use them in the guest room. INITIAL REVIEW- Soft, soft sheets! So much nicer than I had hoped for! The color is a perfect sherbet that blends wonderfully with lighter & darker shades of orange.

Segunda compra.
