Tends to want to clump, careful to be up-wind from where you use it
This works great on pretty much all flowers. I don't use it until I see an issue though. I saw bugs were eating holes in the leaves of some of my flowers so I sprinkled this on my garden all over (trying not to get the actual flowers themselves but just the leaves) and it was easy to sprinkle. It does tend to clump up like parmesan cheese in the bottle and also when you sprinkle it but it's not a big deal. I usually have a little stick I use to sort of slap around the leaves and make the powder disperse more evenly. At first I was afraid that it would damage my flowers (I used them on sunflowers and wildflowers) so I would let it sit and then lightly spray the plants with water to sort of wash off the excess.Once I got more comfortable I understood a little goes a long way and using a decent amount on leaves that are actively being eaten is a good idea and a little bit on plants nearby protects them. I did have one plant die on me (unsure if it was due to exposure to this) but others of the same variety survived and thrived. I also saw some sunflower leaves turn yellow in the spots where this powder landed but so far it hasn't had a negative impact on their growth at all.I used this twice so far two weeks apart and it has kept "bad" insects out of my garden and the leaves that were being eaten alive are no longer being attacked. Unfortunately the holes in the leaves don't really repair themselves but at least there will be no more damage and those plants are doing just fine even with holes in their leaves. Now, this stuff is pretty tame but it's such a fine powder that you do want to wear a mask when using. I did not but I stood up wind from where I was pouring it. It can easily blow up into the air and create a cloud of chemicals you don't want to breathe in or get in your eyes. I was lucky. Even though this stuff is mild for plants it isn't meant for your lungs, hands, or eyes so wear protection. Gloves, eye mask, and face mask when applying.

This isn't Grandpa's Sevin
Sevin has changed the ingredients. It smells different and doesn't seem to work as well for fleas. That's why I gave 4 stars for Overall rating and Value for money. It does seem to work much better on the ants that come up between the patio stones. Just a sprinkle and no more ants. I'm ok with ants on the patio if they don't bite me.Good price. The local hardware store wants $8 plus tax per container.
