GenieMaster 3-Button Garage Door Opener Remote - Compatible with Genie Garage Door Openers Made Since 1993 with Intellicode Technology and/or 9/12 Dipswitches - Model GM3T-R

My Genie garage door opener is quite old and the original remotes were worn out, but the opener was working too well to replace, so I tried this remote. The directions are specific enough to walk you through the install and how to chose which activation button (on the remote). I shopped & waited for an eventual drop in price and got two, prolonging the old openers life.

This product took me 5 minutes to set up. It went perfect with my genie garage door opener. You set the little numbers on the inside of the remote to match the numbers on your genie hold the button until it turns a greenish yellow press the first button on top of the remote to set it as the primary open and close button and then press and hold the little button inside the back of the remote by the battery for like 2 seconds. When it flashes it's set. I've never been so excited in my life. Lol. I have called the original garage door company to come and set it up initially but when they got here they did not have the proper remotes and stated they don't even sell them anymore. I hopped on Amazon so fast and it was here the same day. It was Christmas for me. My 8-year-old was so glad because he said Mommy I can't keep getting out to open this garage door. It was so funny

Needed a new clicker for my older 12-pin Genie opener, this one worked great.Set the pins to match the motor unit pins, pushed a couple of buttons as per the instructions, done.Hardest part is getting up on a ladder to take a photo of the pins on the motor.

Dipp switch- I had to replace a very old remote. Genie CSRs were very good at helping choosing the right one.{ It did take twice to get the right one- Genie CSRs were still good.}In the instructional page it states if you already have the Dipp switch code just use those. I did and nothing happened- did everything for an hour. Was going to wait until Monday to call CSRs.On this particular model you have all 12 switch set to neutral. Then you duplicate the # code[ push the corresponding "tabs" to > +<]. And it should work... doesn't . So i figured out, switches "not" used need to go from neutral to "OFF" tab. {there are 12}. ........ it worked,,,,,,,,. + neutral -......GENIE- in your instructions tell us . To turn the not used "tabs" to "OFF" save some time.db

Took me quite a while to program

I was skeptical about buying this, but it was easy to program as per instructions. You can't go wrong with this being a replacement remote. Great price for a replacement remote as one like the original was close to $90.00 elsewhere.

We have a garage door opener that is from 1993. It works but the remote did not work and hasn't for many years. After following directions, this worked right out of the box! So happy for this purchase. THANK YOU Genie for continuing to make this product for your quality garage openers. 30 years and still going strong!

Compre estos controles para tener mejor alcance en mis cocheras que son de la misma marca, la programación fue sencilla, pero se tiene que presionar siempre el botón dos veces para que abra el portón, ya que parece ser que no es 100% compatible con mi cochera aunque sea de la misma marca.Los tengo como respaldo por si acaso, pero de cualquier forma la distancia de apertura no mejoro con respecto a otros controles mas compactos de Genie.No recomendaría su compra, salvo que quieras un control con botones grandes. Si no es por eso, mejor un control mas compacto, funcionan de mas lejos y no se requiere presionar dos veces el botón.

Lo utilizo para abrir mis 2 portones electricos con 1 solo control.

Just follow the instructions and it is easy to pair to your existing opener. Had it working in just a few minutes. No complaints so far.
