Great for sensitive skin
The pump distributed a good amount of soap (could get away with using less). Doesn’t irritate my eczema riddled hands though at the same time, doesn’t add any moisture to them.

Mild, non-drying hand wash
This hand wash from Pestle&Mortar is aimed at people with dry or eczema-prone skin. The hand wash does not have any particular scent (it smells a bit industrial/hospital-like).The hand wash is very mild and it does not dry out the skin. It is great for winter and for people that find other types/brands of hand wash too drying. Moreover, the formulation is vegan and PETA-approved.The packaging is modern and minimalist in its design. The pump dispenses rather large volume of soap if you press it fully so I try to only press it partially to not waste so much soap each time.

Super Skin Friendly Unscented Hand Wash... But There Were Some Bottle/Pump Frustrations
If you suffer from sensitive skin then the good news is that this is a very good hand wash. However it wasn't all good news.Firstly, it was almost impossible to open up the pump mechanism when this arrived. No matter what I did, twisting it one way, twisting it the other, it just wouldn't pop up. In the end I had to really tighten the cap further and then unscrew the pump head and it then as if by magic it popped up. Directional arrows on which way to turn it would have helped.Sadly the problems consist with the pump mechanism as it provides a lot of handwash with a single pump. I've had the Pestle & Mortar body wash and this appears to share the same pump, which is fine for washing the whole body, but just your hands? If you did a full pump every time, you would find this bottle ran out much more quickly. My tip is you have to then depress it only a fraction of the way, no more than half way, to get a "normal" hand amount. However gripes about the bottle and pump mechanism aside, as I mentioned at the start of the review, the actual unscented hand wash is good and I really like it. It lathers well and is gentle on my family's skin.If you are after a well presented, quality hand wash, and can learn to live with the pump/quantity issue, then this is a sensitive skin friendly success.

Kind to sensitive skin. Clinical smell.
This hand wash is definitely suited for sensitive skin, or environments where frequent hand washing is required. My hands always suffer this frequent hand washing, but this soap has been kind to my skin. There is a bit of a clinical smell, like a hospital or the dentist. I imagine this is due to no smell masking ingredients being used purely to make it smell better. The smell doesn’t linger on your hands. The pump is way too generous. One pump provides too much product, and using only like this will empty the bottle far too quickly. Half a pump at most is enough. At the price, it would be too easy to waste money re-purchasing before you really need to.1 star remove for the pump and the smell, but overall it is a very nice product.

Lovely soft lather, reassuringly baby safe
I'm loving this handwash even more than I expected to! Having been using a premium Jo Malone fragranced hand wash, I switched to this because of newborn babies and wanting something flexible to be able to give their hands a little wash (they get sticky from being sucked on).Knowing that this formulation was supported by baby experts was reassuring, and I also know the Pestle + Mortar brand already via their excellent hyaluronic acid serum. This hand wash is effective - a soft, liquid formulation (vs some others which are stiff). It lathers really really beautifully to a gentle foam. I'm happy with the condition it has left my hands in - I admit they are dry anyway - very very regular hand washing currently - but it's not making them worse.Overall, you may find it better value to buy a baby safe wash and then a normal hand wash, but if you want to cut down on clutter then this is a really lovely bet.

Gentle and kind to skin
This hand wash is brilliant and very good for sensitive skin. My wife is very happy with it as it doesn’t dry out her hands and keeps them smooth. The smell is subtle and nice. The only problem is it dispenses a lot of soap each time which means it runs out in no time. We have tried to very gently press so we get small amounts but it still dispenses a lot of soap.Still it is a very lovely soap.

Great to use, little to complain about
While I hadn't previously heard of the Pestle and Mortar skincare brand, the packaging attracted me to what was hopefully going to be a quality product. This product is provided in a standard size pump and both the bottle and the pump are of high quality, making it easy to get the right amount of liquid. The soap itself has a pleasant scent and does a good job of both creating a lather and of cleaning. It leaves a welcome but not overpowering lingering smell afterwards too.Overall then I am impressed with the quality and effectiveness of this product.
