I would highly recommend this book for quick reference as well as for more complicated jobs ,something even to keep in the tool box!

The author is very clear and explains how to get the most out of home improvement within budget too.I can’t wait to get started on lots of home projects that I have berkhamsted putting off for ages.Highly recommended!

This book covers the basics of DIY from introduction of tools, to electrical and garden work. Perfect for someone looking to dip their toes in DIY.Apart from DIY, it can serve as a guide for the various options that you might need to consider before you decide to hire a professional.Topics are described well, and step-by-step instructions are given in detail.I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book with all of its practical tips such as keeping curtains high in a home to make the room feel taller. It covers everything from plumbing-related DIY to shelving and handrails and even fuse boards and electrical appliances such as wiring a cooker. I had not even thought of some of these. It's not all installation guides either as there are plenty of DIY repair guides in here such as fixing a leaking fridge or maintaining a boiler. Overall a good handbook to have around for emergencies or for those building and or renovating their home.
