The ability to log data is wonderful. I only wish I could view the logged data while logging was in progress (like an oscope). But it does what I needed which is monitor AC current and identify where parasitic and unexpected loads are coming from. I can also identify the patterns of periodic loads from cooling systems, motor starts, etc.The meter is very stable in its readings, and the measure RMS AC and DC simultaneously is very handy. Min-Max-Average mode has helped check motor start currents.Battery life in real use is decent, even when logging data for days.I would buy it again.D

I ordered this to help me solve a problem we were having blowing VFDs, it was very helpful because this was a problem that would come and go.

Use this logging meter for checking and testing voltages. I replaced a 10 ish year old 189 that quit working (after being dropped a significant distance). Very happy with the 289 so far.
