This fits on the string like it supposed to and helps dampen the Wolf tone that I have on my violin

Finding the right spot to remove the Wolf tone requires adjusting the eliminator.
In order to eliminate the wolf tone, you will have to test to find the correct placement. Seat it on the string, then move it incrementally up or down the string until the wolf tone disappears. Pushing on the Wolftone eliminator with a mute may cause the wolf tone eliminator to move over time, and so may vibrations cause it to move, so this process of testing to find the right placement may need to be repeated in the future.

It does not eliminate wolf tone
Wolf tone is still there even after installing it on my violin. It didn't work for me.
