The elongated cover also has a smaller, round hole with a clear, flexible plug with key hole in the center that will allow you to easily transform your glass block into a decorative light without cutting or drilling into the glass.

Bought this for my wedding sand ceremony! It's very thick and durable feeling. The wide top opening is just what I was looking for to make pouring in the sand easy. The only drawback I do see is the smaller opening cap has a slit in that I'll need to find a way to seal once our sand is in the block.
