Buyer Beware
I would not buy this cheap, low quality, dumb features door chime if I knew what I know now. Each tone sounds twice when the alert goes off. Thats annoying. Just one sound would be great. The choices are rediculous and unnecessary. And final, the unit no longer works after just 2 months. EZ tone is only $22 and is much more efficient and professional.

It works very well. My injury complaint is that I would like some different alert sounds and more control over volume. I would recommend this item.

Works sporadically at first then stops working
I bought this item for my small cafe. The doorbell would work half the time but not the other half. Now, two or so months later, it doesn't detect when the door opens. I"ve even changed the position of the receiver to be right through a window to have direct shot at the door.

It does not have a range of 1000 ft. I put it downstairs and in the basement so that I would know when someone came in while I was down there but it does not work and that distance is only about 40 ft. It will work at a 75 ft distance but it won't work for the reason I purchased it for

Told it will not work with Low E windows - Successful Return
UPDATE - - -Very good customer service. Unit returned and refund issued. I wish it worked because the transmitter is small and unobtrusive.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Just hung up from a call to customer service. Very nice person who told me that because I have "Low E" windows on my house the unit will not work. I explained that the nearest window to the front door (receiver is just inside the front door on the floor) is 14 feet away from that door. She confirmed that is the problem, so I guess that the windows on the house form some sort of shield covering the entire house. The transmitter is 47 feet away from the front door with a new button battery in it and glows red every time I trip it. Just nothing from the receiver. I'm very skeptical of this "shield" concept but will be returning the unit.

Unfortunately this is not as advertised. We needed an alert mounted approx. 250' from our main door but the distance was too far to send a signal. There was 1 wall between the door sensor and the receiver and it would not work. We returned for a refund. The 1,000' range as advertised is not accurate.

Inconsistent, questionable quality.
Product was having issues from the beginning. Even just inches away, the magnet and sensor had issues communicating with the receiver.Once we had it set up in a 100 foot retail space with clear lines it only worked 60% of the time. Then after 3 months the receiver starts having issues reading the signals altogether and basically stops working. And of course by now the Amazon warranty has expired so there is no resolution from Amazon. Safeguard doesn't answer calls or emails. It will probably go in the garbage unless someone actually makes an effort to resolve this.

Not good at all
First had to replace battery in sensor right away. Then it took forever to make it actually find the receiver. Now it sometimes works when it wants to, and decides if it want to use the chime I picked or what ever it chooses. Do not recommend this product at all!!!
