The clip adjusted easily and quickly to my Ford Explorer
I ordered the "Air Vent Adjustable" Cellet Mount on 02 Jan 2018 for my Samsung GS8. The clip adjusted easily and quickly to my Ford Explorer. I used the smaller disc with adhesive tape but found the phone disc did not provide enought surface area and the phone would slip and/or rotate if not perfectly balanced or placed. I swapped out the circular for the rectuangular plate. It did not come with the adhesive tape, so I opted for Gorrilla glue instead. A bit messy, but it worked fine and solved the issues that I had using the smaller plate. It took a bit of use to find the right spot and which vent to use, and ultimately found the fixed defrost vent left of the steering to be the perfect spot and and no movement issues from the Cellet holder or the phone. On 01 Feb 18, when picking up my phone, the Cellet mount, clip and magnet assembly came apart into three pieces. I after many attempts, I found it impossible to reassemble the three components by screwing the magnet back together with the mount.Going back to by go-to method of fixing all things broken, I slathered Gorilla Glue amongst the three components and secured them with clips while the glue had time to set.If not for this, I would have given it 5 stars. It is versatile, convenient, functional, and unobtrusive.

Great product!
I was weary of this and purchased anyway. I read about how the adhesive didn't work and it came off on bumpy roads and the phones fell off and so on. I've had this over a year and my phone hasn't once fallen off and the base hasn't become un-adhered either. I live off of a very bumpy dirt road and in the south where it gets extremely hot. Before sticking the base to my dash, I cleaned the spot where I would place it with alcohol, to remove any debris or oils. After it dried, I stuck the base on and pressed down for about a minute (my dash is bumpy, not smooth) I didn't attach my phone for over 24 hours, so that the base could have time to "set" and I randomly pushed down on it to make sure it was in fact sticking. I placed both of the metal pieces on/in my phone. One over the battery on the inside and one on the cover, instead of putting just 1 metal piece on/in. So far, not one problem. I've used this thing way more times then I can count, especially, when I'm using my phones GPS and having to drive.

Holds up well to most bumps and all but the nastiest of potholes
Works well and keeps my phone surprisingly stable. I use it primarily for a Droid Maxx in a cheap TPU case with one of the metal plates sitting inside. It holds up well to most bumps and all but the nastiest of potholes as long as the rings on the back of the mount are tight. It was also pretty easy to trim to my specific needs. My dash is mostly leather but I had a good plastic mounting spot that was just a liiiiitle bit too small to secure the adhesive mount. A few minutes of work on the mount with a dremel and a utility knife solved that problem, and now it's a perfect fit.Deducted one star for the odd angle of the mounting post. My dash is pretty vertical so I had to use a different mount (purchased separately) with a straight post.***UPDATE***After almost 18 months this mount fell apart. The rubber around the edge gradually broke loose, so my phone just kind of spun in place. I tried tightening up the screw in the back but it's just not holding my phone upright any more. I replaced it with a similar product with a rectangular shape; even if the edges wear out on that one, rectangles can't spin!

Decent design but magnet doesn't cut it.
Decent design but magnet doesn't cut it. The iPhone 6 in an Otterbox Symmetry with the large metal plate between the case and the phone will not hold. Total weight of phone and case is 6.7 oz. So the description "extra strength" is misleading. I've also tried the Scosche Magic Mount which doesn't hold the phone in the same configuration. On a side note, I bought the Kebelo M-CD2 CD Slot car mount, several months ago and the magnet is strong enough to hold my phone and even my full size iPad. But the CD slot set up is not for me. The ball mount on the Kebelo happens to be the same size as the Cellet. So I frankensteined the two to get what I wanted. I give the Cellet 3 stars because it does hold my wife's iPhone 6 in a Kate Spade case with the plate between the two. Truthfully though, had I known this magnet was the same strength as the Scosche, then the Scosche wins hands down for fit and finish. But keep in mind that the Scosche ball mount is smaller than the other two units discussed here, so it can't be frankensteined.

I absolutely love this product
I absolutely love this product! it ultra convenient to use and works great in my car with my iphone, even with an otterbox case. I ordered this product approximatly six months ago, and probably a month or so ago the adhesive wore off and and would no longer hold the product down to my car. I got pretty lazy and chose not to replace the adhesive and just today i broke the mounting surface trying to get it to stick again. But i truly enjoy this product so much that i had to order a new one! Also, just a suggestion, but I would recommend mounting the product somewhere in the car where the phone can both be resting on a surface and being held up by the product. Great Item!

Works brat but a couple drawbacks.
This thing works great under the center console of my 2015 ford fusion. Has no problem holding my phone through the case I have on it. My only complaint is that the base could be a tad larger. I mounted mine with double side sticky tape and it does not feel as solid as I wold like. If the base was .5 - 1 X larger would give a much more stable mounting. That said, the adjustable mount is very nice. If you used a pemenant adhesive I am sure it would feel more stable. The magnetic field will affect the compass in most phones. If that's an I portal feature to you the I would suggest a more mechanical mount.

Good quality. Phone doesn't fall. Could be more compatible though.
The tightening mechanism could have a bit more reach as in one of my cars it seats perfectly but not so nicely in the other one. Otherwise it's good quality. I cannot get my phone to fall even on the most "Indian-est" roads.

Good solid product. Beware of the metal plates holes.
suits my needs for mounting my iPhone 5s onto my Van.Watch out for the drill/holes on the 2 x metal plates as it will scratch the back of your devices.i just put a piece of post notes to preventing it from further scratching my phone. You can also use fine sand paper to sand it down a little. My phone is old so i din't mind a few more scratches to the back. I can't see it anyway with my phone case on.would have been 5 stars if the metal plates were smoother. The magnetic stands itself is solid though. Planning on sticking the second metal plate to the TomTom GPS.I am a satisfied customer on this.

Recommend it 100%
The best mobile phone holder in the market sticks on almost every surface. Just use your blow dryer to heat the adhesive and the area where you will mount it. This will ensure good contact between the surface and 3M tape. The device is easy snap on or off for quick usage. Although the magnet adhesive will be permanent but it can be removed with some work with 3m multi purpose cleaner. 100% recommend it.
