Great interest in mid century architecture
Mid Century design and architecture is an interest of mine, and the book details the experiences of people living (either by choice or accident) in the Golden Lane Estate. The history of the estate, the ups and downs, is acknowledged but those residents featuring in the book all speak warmly of their enjoyment and contentment. This is one book amongst a growing collection I have looking at these types of estates and the vision and commitment of those involved in the planning and building of them - some good, many not so.

Captures the estate perfectly
In its design and content this book captures the estate perfectly. A great read for anyone wishing to get an insight into how to create great liveable housing at high density

Excellent book
My mother had lived on Golden Lane for 35 years so I know the estate well. The book gives an excellent overview and the plans and photos are great.
