No fishy taste at all!
I'm surprised by how much I liked the flavor. I tried Unived OVEGHA Vegan Micro Algae Omega-3 capsules once, and was left with the fishiest burps! It was unpleasant enough that I haven't tried again since. I like to take a dropperful at a time in some strawberry kefir, the lemon flavor complements it well and it's not unpleasant. I would probably recommend pairing it with something that pairs nicely with the lemon, as overall it is still a little weird to me to be taking in dropperfuls of a lemon liquid lol. No fish taste at all. I wish the lemon flavor was actually natural though, whenever companies say 'natural flavor' that is the technical term given to a lab-created flavor that mimics a real flavor. If real lemon was used there would probably be preservatives and other complications. Funny how that works hm? It'd be nice if it wasn't a sunflower oil base either. But considering what goes in all of the other vegan capsules (colorings, extra stuff and fillers) this is probably as good as it will get.

Not recommended
I bought this for my pregnant wife. She loves seaweed and soup with seaweed; however, she said this was fishy and she was burping it for the next six hours. Very unpleasant. She noted the taste was a bit on the rancid (old) side. Not a happy camper on an item that is unreturnable.

Raising a vegan/vegetarian baby/toddler? This is the supplement you need after 12 months of age
It's pretty crazy how long it took me to research what in the world a Vegetarian mama is to do if she doesn't want her 12+ month old to consume dairy milk. It's weird that we are told to rely on breast milk and/or baby formula from 0-12 months, and then we are supposed to totally drop this nutrient-rich drink for plain ole cows milk. What if we don't want our kid drinking milk, or at least not all the time? What if our kid has a dairy allergy? There really aren't answers to these simple questions, IMO. After reading about all the silly controversy babble regarding soymilk vs almond milk or cashew milk, I decided fine, I'm just going to have my young toddler drink unsweetened versions of both, alternating types as she goes through each container. But the two main 'fortified whole milk essentials', Vitamin D and DHA, are missing from these non-dairy beverages. The available DHA supplements for young children are nearly all sourced from fish/cod oil. (Another reason for vegan DHA...what if your little one has a fish allergy?) Sometimes you can find a gelatin-free chewable vitamin, but that only works once a kid is much older.Anyway, I finally found this vegan DHA supplement. Taking it is part of baby's nightly routine and is an effortless way to take care of the raised eyebrows from parents when they hear we are <gasp> not feeding dairy milk to our kid. (Baby has also been taking one daily drop of Vitamin D from this same brand, Mom & Baby, since she was an infant, see pricing below.)The user that commented this supplement is much more expensive than Nordic Naturals...the only non-capsule supplement I could find from NN (on Amazon, anyway) was for Vitamin D, which is not DHA. (Mom & Baby also makes a Vegan Vitamin D liquid supplement, which is $19.49 for 2 oz. NN's Vitamin D liquid supplement is $18.66 for only 1 oz.)Also, one 2 oz bottle of DHA, at $34, lasts a long time. FYI: "The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies recommends a daily dose of 70 mg DHA for children from 1-3 years." 1 ml of this product contains 360 mg, which means you can definitely give your child half a dropper (0.5 ml) each day and know they are still getting tons of DHA at 180 mg DHA, for 120 doses, for a four month supply, or 28 cents a day. (I like this high amount, as about 1/3 of the time my kiddo lets some of it ooze out of her mouth...this is why we now give her vitamins in the bath, near bedtime, before brushing her teeth.)Another random FYI for veggie parents: Read the ingredients for toddler formulas; most of them contain fish. Enfagrow Toddler Next Step contains tuna fish oil, and for mealtime, the Gerber Oatmeal Cereal with DHA contains fish gelatin (tilapia).Anyway, I do hope this review has saved some of you a lot of extra work. Happy Vegetarian parenting! :)UPDATE: Our girl turns two next week and continues to 'open up' for her nightly vitamins! Wahoo!

Good quality. But often out of stock.
One of the better quality ones I've seen in the price range, and also better tasting. Still not great tasting, but without sweeteners and junk, it’s as good as it gets.Just wish Amazon wouldn't be out of it all the time.

Excellent product
I would give this more stars if I could. This is an excellent product. Tastes great! I love that the dosage for my 17 month old is only 1ml and she takes it so easily. I started her off with Nordic Naturals dha but she didnt like the taste at all. I will continue to purchase this product and i highly recommend it!

Natural, easy to dispense and baby loves them.
My 13 month waits with her mouth open for these. When she hears the fridge open, she runs over and grabs the bottle from the door. She would drink the whole thing if I let her. Great lemon flavor. I will continue to get these.

So bad…
It says vegetarian on the bottle but it also says it may contain animal product and/or fish. It doesn’t smell like fish but as soon as I swallowed it I had a very strong fishy taste in my mouth. Not ideal for a pregnant woman dealing with nausea.
