Very nice but the case is just a cardboard box.This cheapens the quality of the set.Good but sadly not excellent

Surprisingly, this set of glasses and decanter are blown to a high quality standard and they are quite thick, unlike similar products that are of a thin glass so they break easily.Being a crystal glass makes this product much better than plain glass and being thick means there is much less chance of a glass smashing the first time it is accidentally dropped.The decanter comes with a very thick crystal glass stopper that fits the neck of the decanter perfectly so the contents of the decanter stay fresh with every pour.As I have mentioned the risk of glass breaking when dropped, this product comes inside a well presentable gift box which is made from cardboard and foam sponge and it does an excellent job of protecting the glassware.All four glasses and the decanter are cut with a nice diamond pattern and the light reflects through the glass as one would expect from good quality crystalware. However, the light reflection / effect is not as good as one gets from leaded crystal which can be expensive but it does still look good.When tapping the glass one hears that distinctive, sharp ping that one gets from crystal glass but doesn't get from plain glass and this product does have a very good ping to it.Overall, the cut of the design is very good, the production quality is high with no visible flaws in the glass whatsoever. This is a great set of glasses with decanter that is clearly of a high quality standard and the product can last many years if looked after so it is good value, it can make an excellent gift that will be appreciated and I am therefore recommending this product.

This is not crystal like is advertised, is just simple glass

Absolutely brilliant crystal decanter and glass set.As soon as I opened the box and seen the nice fancy box that it came in I knew before opening it was made with passion.Then upon opening the fancy box I was proved right.Every piece is in a separate compartment protected by a thick foamy kind of material and is presented really well.Any whiskey fan I am sure would be extremely pleased and grateful to receive this set as it looks lovely.Each piece seems like it has been made with special care and the glasses have a nice thickness to them.The decanter lid fits nice a snug and this really does look like it's worth more than it is.At just short of £50 at the time of this review I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, worth every penny.
