Some people are complaining how these reachers cannot grab the large items. Well… they are no designed to handle heavy stuff like a can of soup or anything like those. This reacher serves the purpose and I like it a lot. It folds into half the length of the regular reachers and makes it easy to be brought around. This reacher becomes very helpfuly whenever i go to the park or when i need it at home to reach some higher places. My knee and back injury from 10 years ago makes any bending movement hurtful towards my legs and back. This high quality reacher does the job right and helps me a lot. Recommended to those who needs help reaching for small items at home or outside.

For the price, you can't go wrong. I was surprized how easy it works to pick up just about anything you could pick up with your fingers if you could bend down. It's fool proof, I liked it so much and it's so cheap I bought a second one to keep at my desk for picking up dropped pens, etc. It also works well to grab a sweater off a high shelf or a shoe kicked way under a bed. The magnet comes in handy for things like paper clips and dropped pins.

When my current reacher broke I went on a hunt for an immediate replacement.What caught my eye about this Ez2care Lightweight Folding Reacher was the fact that it was foldable. This would enable me to take this out with me without being such a bulk. item.The package arrived 2 days prime in good box packaging easy to open. The product itself was folded and very lightweight, good for someone of very limited strength. The separate pieces folded in both directions and twisted around (one could easily spin the parts, tightening the string).When time came to put the two pieces together it became a task as the grooves were not easy to use. Now of course they would fit snugly being so new, but it was very difficult fitting they had to be positioned "just right" and pushed together hard. I ended up having to "hammer" the stick to the floor for the pieces to connect securely. If it's not secure, there's the risk of the reacher folding while picking up anything of weight. That could be dangerous especially if it's above you.So now the reacher is put together and I'm not able to pull it apart to fold it myself. Which is unfortunate.Another item of note there is no peg at the tip that helps pick up things like hats or necklaces. This is a feature my old one had and it came in handy.However to note the positives of this product, the hand grip is a very decent size, comfortable on the hand.Also the claw is all plastic so it won't break or wear out too fast I predict. The rubberized claw tips tend to break off so claw isn't able to make the full contact with the other end.Overall I'd recommend this for someone with decent strength to pull apart the reacher for folding.When I ordered this and another folding reacher at the same time so I"ll update this and add a new review of that product.

The is a great grabber and just what I was looking for! I wanted something that would fold so I could take it with me when I went out and this really does the job nicely. The grabber is strong enough to pick up whatever I need and it folds up into a size so that I can fit it into my bag. It does take a little strength to open it and close it but it seems to get easier the more I do it. I was concerned to order this as I had purchased a different one previously at a store and it was just awful and I threw it out. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this one. It works so well and I highly recommend it.

I have used MANY reachers over the years and this one is by far the worst. I ordered it thinking the folding option would be convenient, but it is far from it. The design of the folding feature shows little effort from the Engineer or Designer. I have spent over 25 years in Drafting & Design & have done better design work in my sleep. Instead of a hinged joint, It is simply a cheap piece of plastic that acts as a sleeve where the one side of the metal part slides into. It is clear that not much thought or effort was put into the design, it is obvious they were just trying to make it as simple and cheap as possible, instead of working on functionality. So if you happen to press them together too tightly, it requires significant force to pull them apart. If you have limited strength, this isn't the reacher for you. Also it has limited lifting capabilities because of the severe lack of grip. I have WAY better grip and strength from the shorter and cheaper ones and I can lift 99% more with them, including a piece of paper or a can of soda, you can't with this poorly designed one. It creates more work than necessary. It also weighs about 3-4 times more than others that I have owned.

This product did everything that it said it could do and its made out of good materials. I chose this one because it folds in the middle, the only thing bad about it is if you keep folding it the protective plastic around the cord starts to break down. I put a piece of tape around the cord to keep it from getting cut on the edge. I would recommend this product because of the price, the fast shipping and the overall design of the product.

These things are super. I bought one then later two more and they all work perfectly. At the time, I had one upstairs, one downstairs and took the other one to work. My co-workers loved testing it out and were surprised at what tiny things it can grab. The precision is amazing. I have back pain and use them everyday to pick thing up off the floor I've dropped such as papers, Cheerios, cords, empty bottles, pens, small boxes, shoes, etc. The magnetic piece is great and anything metal will stick right to it. I've used it occasionally to get lightweight laundry out of the washing machine. It can't handle too much weight but with a good grip and show pull, it'll grab most things I need. I highly recommend these.
