Latina 20320 1/10 London Telephone Box

I enjoyed making this model of the K6 telephone box. The materials were high quality, and the laser-cut ply panels were very precise. I am reasonably experienced in model-making, but I found some aspects of this build quite challenging. The instructions came on a CD with high resolution graphics and no explanatory text, so some steps were trial and error before getting it right. The glazing sheets are sandwiched between wooden grids that you have to make for yourself - six of these and quite time-consuming. Very accurate cutting of the wood strips is required. In future versions of the kit, perhaps these could be provided as laser-cut panels. Check that at least one of each pair of grids can pass through the aperture in the wall or door before painting and gluing in place. I didn't do that and my panels were slightly too large, so I had to glue the grids outside the apertures with the glazing somewhat loose in between. Still, it looks OK. I would have appreciated a few helpful hints in the instructions to avoid making this mistake. To make the curving roof, I found it helpful to pre-bend the planking before gluing in place. I found that superglue was the best adhesive to make rapid progress - I had only 4 days to make this as a Birthday present. We have discovered that our cordless phone fits perfectly inside the finished box, so incoming calls now ring out from the K6!

quelle déception quand j'ai ouvert la boîte que j'attendais pourtant avec anxiété. Vous voyez l'image quand on m'a vendu ce modèle de cabine téléphonique anglaise? Eh bien, il n'y a rien de rouge dans ce ramassis de pièces en bois , mais il faut, après avoir réussi l'exploit de découper les plaquettes de bois, les coller, les plâtrer, les sabler, et les peinturer (oui, le rouge sur l'image est de la frime). Quand vous lisez le document sur lesquels on vous indique les outils dont vous aurez besoin pour exécuter votre œuvre d'art, vous n'en reviendrez tout simplement pas. Il y a des laboratoires qui ne sont pas autant équipés, croyez-moi! Comble de tout, l'objet coûte 30.77 Eu à quoi on a ajouté 99.00 Eu pour le transport. Je suis du Canada et regardez dans la grille des tarifs de transport international et on parle en générale d'environ 10,00 Eu. Oui le total de mon envoi m'a coût la modique somme de 129.77 Eur HT. Vous croyez vraiment qu'AMAZON va remplacer cet objet ou me rembourser, cela est de la foutaise. I was very disappointed when I received this item, there was no description of this item, so I thought you got what it said on the box. When the box arrived it was flat packed and did not contain any paint. I'm sorry but I paid nearly £35 for this and to me it is definitely not worth it, still got to go and find paint to paint it red. will not be buying anything else from this company. wish I could send it back.
