Great beach tent
Because of visiting family, we purchased a second lightspeed beach tent, our first is seven years old and still going strong. Well made, light, assembled in under five minutes. The carry bag could've been made bigger, my wife got material and made new ones. We spent more time trying to stow the folded tent into the original bag then we did putting the tent up. The tent is definitely a great product.

Great beach tent
This is a great beach tent for the price. The bottom feels very sturdy, like the same tarp-like material used for some tents. It is very easy to set up with one person (two if it's a windy day), and holds up well in the North Carolina beach wind. Like other reviews mention, the stakes could probably be upgraded, but they worked fine for me. Time will tell if the metal rivets will rust. I clean this after each use and spray it down with the hose to remove any saltwater and hopefully prolong the life of the tent (let dry thoroughly before packing up). It fits two short beach chairs snugly underneath with room for a beach bag or cooler behind the chairs. The storage bag is oversized so that you can easily fold and stuff the tent back in the bag. And the entire tent itself is very light, so carrying to/from the beach is a breeze!

Perfect for the beach
Loved this sun shelter! We used it on a busy beach. It wasn't too big but just big enough for two low adult beach chairs and our coolers. Provided great shade. The vents helped provide a breeze so it didn't get too hot inside. It was INCREDIBLY easy to set up. Highly rec.

Love this tent, used it for a decade, time for a new one
I originally bought the gray and blue version of this tent a decade ago and absolutely loved it for the beach. Due to it's age, it started having a few issues so I decided to get a new one and went with the light blue color just for a change. What I love most about this tent is that goes up very quickly. (I've had several people ask me about it over the years as they were impressed watching it go up. It may not be such a novelty sight now that these types of tents are becoming more common.) That being said, it can require a bit of arm strength to open and close the upper and lower components together, especially if the poles are not quite in the right position. I'm a tall, middle aged woman and I can manage to do it by myself, but if you have any kind of physical condition that hinders arm strenth, back problems, or if you are very short, it may be difficult to impossible to do. I still prefer this to dealing with normal camping tent type poles which I find even more difficult and time consuming. It can be a little tricky to get put up in windy conditions, but I have managed to do it by myself on several occassions. The trick is to throw some bags inside it that will keep it from blowing away while you finish getting it staked into the sand and the sand bags filled up. (Make sure to bring a hammer for the stakes in order to secure them well into the sand, and get some gallon sized zip lock bags to put the sand in and then put that into the sand pockets so it will be much easier to take the sand out when putting it away.)Another thing I love about this tent is that it is lightweight and easy to carry over your arm in the carry bag (especially when the beach wagon gets filled up.) Most of the time I have managed to be able to roll it back up and fit it back into the travel bag when packing up at the beach but does take quite a bit of rolling and squishing and occassionally I don't bother until I get it home and just cary it under my arm without the bag since when I get home I always set it up outside and hose it off and let it dry in the sun and then if there are a few wet spots left I wipe them with a towel and then sweep out any residual sand and then put it back in the bag. You could probably just sweep it out but I think hosing is ideal.About 2 summers ago I had to duck tape one of the poles but it has worked fine, and last summer I had to sew about a foot of the bottom flap back to the side with heavy thread due to a strong wind ripping it. That is, however, after about a decade of use. This summer, it was once again in a strong wind and one side of it was severely blowing in and one of the poles kept rotating and semi-collapsing the tent. I was able to fix this problem for a few hours by tying one of the strings around the poles so it wouldn't rotate. Later the tent collapsed though (I could have fixed it again but it was the end of the day.) I did take it to the beach again on a less windy day and did not have any of these problems. Anyway, I have loved this tent so much that I decided it was time to invest in a new one.I usually always plan to go to the beach on days without rain in the forecast so I've never really used it in the rain. I wouldn't recommend using it in the rain because the windows only have velcro tabs on the bottom two corners so the flap does not seal completely closed. It does do a pretty good job of staying closed in windy conditions, but would probably let rain in. If you plan to use your tent in the rain, I would get some kind of other protective covering to put over it or get a tent with window zippers, however I have had a hard time finding any with windows that zip up.I read that some people find the floor tarp heating up very hot. It does, but I have never had any major problem with that as I always lay out a beach blanket on top of the tarp. If you're just putting chairs in there though, I recommend shoes or a towel, etc., under your feet because it does heat up.Lastly, one other thing I love about this tent, is that I often go to the beach myself but I usually spend more time in the water than under the tent, and I love that I can have a more secure place to put my belongings that just on an open blanket. (That being said, I always keep a keen eye on my tent as well, but depending on the beach, a locker might be better.) Oh, and of course then there's the obvious reason, SHADE!! (For me and my stuff, and my guests when I do have them with me.)I'll add a couple extras for COVID times as well: Gives you a barrier between you and people around you on the sand, and you could closepin/clip up the outer bottom flap to the top for a changing place if you don't want to use the public changing room.
