Excellent Pump!
In the fullness of time I may revise my opinion but I now have 4 of these pumps of different sizes running and I love them. I like that all the attachments for the input and output are threaded and they provided an excellent array of basic functional pieces to choose from. The pump is quiet (when the venturi is not employed) and very reliable. I had always previously bought Rio pumps but I’m now replacing them with these. My only complaints are that these pumps are bigger than the Rios of similar output which is a bummer in small tanks, & I don’t like that the large suction cup back piece can’t be removed. Otherwise these are great pumps.

Still running strong!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this pump in May 2014 for a fountain in a pot. I chose the 290GPH model because it had enough power to push the water up the three feet I needed. I did put a cut-off valve on the pipe I connected so that I could control the water flow and slow it down to the level that I needed. It has been running all day, every day since I finished the fountain in June 2014. Through several freezes and many 100+ degree days. Can't beat that kind of performance for the price I paid. All I have to do is make sure that the fountain pot does not run out of water. See the attached video for the final result.April 2017 Update - After running continuously for almost three years, I noticed that the output had dropped significantly. I took apart my fountain to get to the pump and took it apart and found that the filter was completely clogged with silt from three years of decaying matter. I cleaned out the filter and the pump housing and it is running strong again. Still very happy with this purchase.January 2021 Update - Pump has been running all day, every day for over six years. Very happy with it!

No Flow Control!
The EcoPlus (264gph) works just fine. However, there is a caveat. If you are looking for or need a pump with an adjustable flow control...this is NOT the pump for you if you are not savvy and are not willing to retrofit the pump with a flow control. Although the instructions (page 2 under Operation) states: "1) turn the flow control clockwise to increase flow and counter clockwise to reduce flow... " THERE IS NO FLOW CONTROL! I called the distributor (Horticultural Products) and they were as responsive as dried mud. I did purchase about $8.00 worth of supplies (flow control valve and other necessary adapters) to retrofit my pump using bilge tubing. The pump does come supplied with a range of adapters to choose from depending on the size of the tubing that you choose to use. Nothing irks me worse than a product that does not live up its supplied operational instructions.

Perfect for two tap kegerator line cleaning setup!
This product rocks! I purchased it as part of my kegerator line cleaning setup (Google "beer line cleaning setup"). Just after running it for half an hour, I noticed just how dirty my lines were. With this pump, I could rest easy knowing it was cleaning my lines properly. I'm no electrician, but when a piece of equipment (such as this pump) tells you to purchase something like a GFCI outlet, you do so. Nothing is worth being electrocuted for. Especially when it isn't that expensive. That being said, this will definitely deliver the power you need to get liquid looping through your draft system. Mine is a simple two tap kegerator. So, I can indeed vouch for something like that... I can't say for sure if it'd work on a 3-4 tap system. Personally, I'd go up a step and make sure it's going to flow well and make it through the loop. I had my pump and BLC solution just below the taps. Funny story, if it seems to not be working, OPEN YOUR TAPS UP! I sat there scratching my head thinking... wow, this pump is weak. Well, it was early in the morning and I hadn't coffee yet (I'm sticking to that story). I paid full price for these items and I can assure you I’ll be purchasing another setup when I add taps and lines. If you’re like me, you have probably spent a good amount of money invested in your brewing equipment. You start at bottling, but now you’re kegging and need a reliable product to help see your liquid ingenuity through clean tubing and into your gullet. Well look no further when piecing together your line cleaning setup. You spend a lot of time on that liquid, so why not go the extra step and let this product help you maintain your system?

Great pump for aquatic turtle tank
I have a Zoo Med Turtle Tub kit, and in about 18 months I've already had two of the motors in the canister filter die on me. It's now out of warranty, so instead of spending another $70 or so on a whole new filter, I picked this one up and mounted it in the tank. It can be run in-line, but I didn't have another tube of the correct size for that. I may do that later on.This pump has been great so far (about 2 weeks). It pushes the water significantly better than the built-in pump the Zoo-Med filter had and keeps the water cleaner.

Easy to set up, runs well!
This pump has taken a bit of a beating as I get acclimated to having a hydro set up. I've done things to this pump that no pump should have to go through. It's been dropped, accidentally kicked into a wall, handled roughly for extensive periods of time under stress. I'm not a patient man but this pump certainly is.Outside of it being built like a rock, the pump does exactly as it says. It's actually a lot stronger than I needed, and could have gone down to a lower GPH model. Zero complaints with this guy and I can't foresee any issues not that I'm not jarring this little sucker around. The base to the unit is actually really user friendly so keep that in mind... it's easier than it looks folks...
