Better heat than Solo Stove for a lot less money.
I had a chance to use a Solo Stove Bonfire 2 at an AirBnB we stayed at and enjoyed it enough I was going to buy one. After having done some research though I came across this Beyond Home unit for a lot less money. I like the fact that the stand and the cover were included in the price for this one too. I also added a Dragonfire mesh spark screen to use with this too as we burn a lot of Pine and it can throw off a lot of larger embers. As for usage the Beyond Home outperforms the Solo Stove because of the slits cut out of the side. The heat really does radiate outwards from these warming your legs. That was my big complaint with the Solo as you had to stand above it to get a lot of heat. While I will not say either the Solo or the Beyond Home are "smokeless" fire pits I'll say they do in fact smoke less than a traditional fire pit. The big plus to me though is how much more efficiently they burn. This makes cleanup a breeze as ALL of the wood is burned leaving nothing but some ash to dump out the next day. I do wish the ring on top of the Beyond Home was removeable for easier removal of ash like the Solo but it's a minor annoyance.I've had around 30 fires in this Beyond Home fire pit and so far it's holding up great. It has discolored from the heat but I'm not concerned with that. Overall we get a ton of enjoyment out of this and I very much recommend saving your money with this one over the Solo.

Great product for the money
Bought the 27" model as a Father's Day gift and used it last night for the first time. We were AMAZED at the heat this thing throws. It had rained throughout the weekend, so the wood was wet going in. This was no issue however-- there was little to no smoke at all. What puffs you did see went straight up due to the heat and did not get in anyone's face. My partner was thrilled with this. We had a roaring fire and crazy heat with four logs. Easy to assemble, just place the cylinder on the base, and it fit inside our existing stone structure. Came with a branded cover to keep the water out. It was nice to not have our clothing/hair smell like smoke when we came inside after a SUPER warm fire on a chilly night. We couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Once you get the fire going it is pretty smoke free.
The fire pit is a bit thinner material than other stainless steel low smoke fire pits. Once you get the fire going, it burns hot and basically smoke free. It pops and bangs a bit and the bottom gets distorted when it gets hot. Makes the main pot rock on the bottom ring. But it is large and you can put pretty big pieces of wood in it. It throws a lot of heat. The inside pot can be seen glowing red through the slots on the outside. Works great for the price.

Works great if you load it correctly
This is a great fire pit! Is very high quality and had only 2 pieces too it. The handles in the sides are very convenient. The people complaining about smoke are building their fire wrong. The best method for any wood fire is a top down fire. Start with 2 of your larger logs on the bottom parallel to each other. Then lay 2 on them at 90°. The next layer is smaller wood again laid perpendicular to the layer under it. Now place 2 layers of kindling. Alternate directions as with the lower layers. To light it, take 2 paper grocery bags and tear them in 2 pieces each along the seam on the sides of the bag and across the bottom. Roll reach piece into a 1" roll and fold each one into a paper pretzel. Place the 4 paper knots on top and light them with a match or lighter. The fire will burn down into the wood at the rate it can consume the fuel instead of a tiny fire at the bottom trying to burn big logs which is what produces excessive smoke. I've heated my home with wood fire almost 20 years. Try this and your will never build a fire the old way again.

Great little fire pit’
No assembly, just set on the base. Not as heavy as my moms Ranger solo stove. Easy for my female arms to lift and transport. We gathered dead branches around our campground, so fun! Lit right up with a paper towel! The sides returned more heat than the expensive solo stove. It was very cozy and produced very little smoke. We roasted s’mores off the coals before adding more branches. Hot dogs would be yummy, too. The small pit was a perfect size for the two of us. It’s my new favorite camping accessory! We’re very impressed by the value and quality and will probably buy another as a Christmas gift for my niece.

Beats Solo
We have had a Solo stove for a few years and while it has been fun, there are obvious drawbacks. You have to dump it to get ash, etc out of it. It was ridiculously expensive, it was smaller than we would have liked (19”). It’s small enough to be portable, but heavy enough where it is a bit of a hassle. We decided to move the Solo to camp and buy the 27” BeyondHome fire pit for our primary residence. We weren’t sure how well a Chinese knock off was going to work (and given its size, a little nervous about sending it back), but we have been pleasantly surprised. This unit works better than our Solo as it already has a removable ash pan/stand and has handles built in. (I can’t imagine moving the Yukon - these things are really heavy.) And you do have to move them because you can’t get them wet. This stove works just as well and was almost half the price. It’s very solid and more attractive than the Solo which looks like a metal drum. I don’t write reviews often despite buying most things online, but I can’t recommend this product enough (or at least until Solo drastically reduces their prices). If you have a husband like mine, good luck getting him to stop burning up everything in sight.

Excellent!
I didn’t a lot of research between various brands. So glad i purchased the beyond home. It’s comparable and every bit as good as the expensive brand names at half the cost (when on sale)Little bit of smoke when first lit but with in 3-5 minutes no smoke and in less then 10 minutes the heat it’s throws off is very intense. Has a nice red glow visible through the slats on the sides and holes in the bottom stand/ash pan. Also plenty of “fire fingers” from the inside vent holes. The outside gets very hot and as I mentioned we it throws off a lot of heat - we have the largest size and a 14 foot fire pit circle and when the fire is at its peak it’s to hot for me, my wife loves it. I made a round top from wood to use it as a table when not using as fire pit. 100% recommend!
