lots of different types of fittings
My expectation was that "this kit will have everything I need to get my job done". Many, many different fittings, but only a few of each. In replacing some lines on a 10 year old Subaru, I quickly used up the metric fittings and had to find more to finish the job. I think there were 4 of the fittings, use two to run one line. The brake tubing is easy to form, made my job look professional. Other tools you will need: bending pliers to make the tight bends, but for general shaping you could do it by hand. For sharp bends near the tire and next to fittings, you will want to use the bending pliers. You also need to have the tool to crimp the tubing at the end, the style depends on the car - I used bubble crimp. The clear marking for each of the little boxes of fittings made it a breeze to go to my local advanced store to get the fittings I needed, so that knowledge was worth a lot! This would be a great kit for every repair garage to have so they could fix the next brake line problem that came in the door.

Decent kit
This is a good kit - it's just what you'd expect from the description and photos. I ordered it because I needed to replace one line on my Jeep and wasn't sure exactly what fittings would be used. It ended up being the obvious choice (3/18-24 inverted flare), so I could have saved a bunch of money by just buying a five-pack of them at my local auto parts store, but it was reassuring to know that I had every fitting I might possibly need *before* I started cutting. Everything seems to be good quality. The line is the normal steel stuff that is easy to bend (by hand or with a cheap tubing bender ( OEM 25179 Tubing Bender )) and flare (using the BluePoint TF528 double-flare set - I'd never flared anything before, so I did a dozen or so practice flares and then started working on my vehicle), but I choose to buy some PolyArmour line from a local auto parts shop for better corrosion protection. My only complaint is that it'd be nice if you could buy the fitting kit without the line - I'm guessing the line adds quite a bit of cost to the kit (especially for packaging and shipping).

Such an amazing time saver!
Having been on the wrench side of things for almost fifteen years, I've done my fair share of horrible brake line jobs. Trying to source out just the right fitting for that 88 Subaru, or having to rebuild an entire braking system on 91 Mazda pickup. This kit has almost everything you could possibly need! Besides tools, of course. The fittings are of a very high quality, and seal up nicely. The real star of the show is the line itself though. You can wrap it in a coil on your little finger with one hand and no kinks! But yet it retains its strength! I've also had these lines on my van in northern Iowa for nearly six years and they show zero signs of corrosion. That's a big one. Oh and it flares like butter! All in all, the best brake line replacement material I've ever used. Hands down.

Become a tubing artist!
Here in Michigan where road salt usage is completely insane, it seems that brake lines need to be replaced as regularly as brake pads/shoes. Whether the line itself corrodes or the fittings seize, nothing is ever easy. This kit has everything included that I've needed for doing a couple of replacement jobs so far. The tubing is great as well. I use a tubing bender, but it could be easily formed by hand; and it flares beautifully. After using it, I don't know why you'd waste your time and money piecing together steel sections from the parts store. Best of all it is made in the USA. Thank you S.U.R.&R. for being an American manufacturer and supplying a superior product.

Great combo kit
I did not use the line yet - but is very easy to work with, good variety of fittings - at least for reference. The kit does not have all the possible fittings you may need, but enough to start with and to have some samples to test fit, and also to help you to realize the difference btw. the simple, double, inverted flare brake lines and fittings.Attention there are (traditional) 45 deg. flares, (especially on automotive steel and copper lines of a variety of diameters in metric or standard sizes) AND also newer 37 deg. flares (on stainless steel tubing - used in airplanes, motorcycle and some newer autos).Always compare the existing (about to be replaced) fittings w. the one you want to use.Use attention, common sense AND the best flaring tools you can afford for 100% success!

Good Choice
This Kit was a time saver. The brake line I was replacing turned out to have two different size fittings which saved a trip or two and it also came with copper nickel brake line which couldn't be located locally. I'm pretty sure a doing double flare on steel line wouldn't have been fun. I work in ship repair and copper nickel is what we use for pipe if possible because it's durable and lasts so it seemed the best choice for brake line. It's also made in America which also means they answered my email in a timely manner! Great product.

LIFE SAVER!
Wow this is the best value you can get. The brake line is so easy to shape I did not need to use my bender. Very pleased with the quality of the tubing. The same style brake line from other companies is triple the money. Not only is the brake line awesome but the fittings are great! My truck has Metric and S.A.E. fittings on it. With this kit there is no need to run back and forth to the parts store. This is an outstanding item at a excellent price. Could not be more pleased!!! I will be buying more brake lines from S.U.R.&R in the near future.

STOP! now i can......
Although i am somewhat mechanically inclined, i was hesitant about tackling a brake replacement job, because of it's importance. however, i did it and b/c i couldn't find or confirm the fitting sizes on my expedition, i purchased this kit. overkill, yes, but am so happy i did, b/c one fitting was metric and the other standard.this kit is definitely a good buy, especially if you are going to replace any line on your vehicles or equipment. many different fittings, both SAE and metric.
