In North Carolina, on the raining day, the roads will be covered with black ice in the morning. I have to walk my dog at 4:30am, then drive to work at 5:00. In the past I had other anti-slip gripers that were shaped like coiled springs on the bottom. The rubber part was so resistant to stretching that once they were on my shoes, I decided to dedicate that footwear to the grips. A few years ago my mom broke her wrist when she fell on ice outside while walking the dog.Everyone should wear these if they're going to be outside in the winter. I've never had a pair of these cleats wear out; they generally get lost when stored away in the spring.

I am disabled and use a walker. I need to go outside three times a week for my health. I have a wooden deck and steps, when it gets icy I was afraid to go out. Pulling on the left cleat for the first time and the rubber strap broke. Disappointing first experience. The cleat that went on well also gripped the ice well, just difficult to walk-slide-walk-slide across the ice.
